Shotgun - Serial no. 1150, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid
rib bbl., black/brushed bright finish, walnut stock. As
described in “A”.
Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore
diameter nine inches from the breech both proofed
and measured at 18.5 mm (.728 inches); choke
constriction .010/.005 inches; minimum wall thickness
.029/.029 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch
drop at heel; 15 1/8 inch length of pull; very slight
cast-off; weight 6 lbs. 13 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original
black and brushed bright finishes with minimal
handling evidence and sharp checkering on the
forend and stock. Mechanically excellent.
C) Documented Multi-Colored Gold Game Scene
Inlaid P. V. Nelson Over/Under Shotgun - Serial
no. 1151, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., black/
casehardened/gold finish, walnut stock. As described
in “A”.
Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore
diameter nine inches from the breech both proofed
and measured at 18.5 mm (.728 inches); choke
constriction .010/.005 inches; minimum wall thickness
.029/.030 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch
drop at heel; 15 1/8 inch length of pull; very slight
cast-off; weight 6 lbs. 14 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus
original black, casehardened, and gold finishes with
minimal handling evidence and sharp checkering on
the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. This is a
possibly once in a lifetime opportunity to own a trio
of guns by one of London’s most exclusive makers
and engraved by Master Engraved Ken Hunt, one of
the finest engravers to ever put graver to steel!
