The square shoulder takedown barrel is fitted to the casehardened double square bridge commercial true Kurz Mauser controlled round feed
action with Model 70 type three-position safety. The action features extensive fine scroll engraving matching that on the barrel, niter blue
ejector housing, extractor, and bolt collar, engraved bolt handle with a panel of fine checkering in Hartmann & Weiss style, engraved bolt
shroud with pop-up peep sight at the rear, and engraving along the lovely elongated lollipop tang. All of the engraving is encompassed by
gold inlaid line borders with scroll accents. The action is mounted with a Hensoldt-Wetzlar Diasta-D 4x32 mm scope in an engraved set of
quick release mounts. The bottom metal, floorplate, trigger, and trigger guard with inside-the-bow release are also beautifully case colored
with more of the highly attractive fine scroll engraving and the serial number in gold on the lower tang all surrounded by gold inlaid linework.
The rifle is fitted with in an exceptional highly figured two-piece walnut stock. The stock features multi-point checkering with mullered
borders, an ebony forend tip, engraved and gold inlaid casehardened takedown button, casehardened, engraved, and gold inlaid crossbolt,
engraved and gold inlaid casehardened trap door grip cap, traditional shadowline cheekpiece, gold inscription oval engraved “EKS”, rear sling
swivel, and casehardened, engraved, and gold inlaid heel and toe plates around the checkered bare butt. Included is a maker’s brown goat
skin flat case lined in green baize and containing a pair of ebony handled turn screws by Mike Marsh numbered to the rifle, two crystal oil pots
with silver tops, a leather sling, and a four-piece ebony handled cleaning rod in a hand stitched pouch.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue, casehardened, and gold finishes with minor handling evidence, a few small pressure
marks on the right of the stock, and sharp checkering on the stock. Mechanically excellent. The scope optics are sharp. The case is excellent.
