The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured and richly colored
semi-beavertail forend with multi-point checkering and
engraved blued iron along with the Deeley type release.
The semi-pistol grip stock is of the same lovely quality with
matching multi-point checkering, teardrop carved drop points,
and a leather covered recoil pad. Included with the gun is the
order form which lists the gun in the current configuration,
with the exception of the chokes and slight changes to the
stock measurements, which were likely a change decided
after the order was sent. Also included is an Emmebi leather
flat case with maker’s label on the interior lid and a letter
signed by Cynthia Schwarzkopf, on Schwarzkopf Family
letterhead, certifying the shotgun by serial number as
being the former property of her father, General H. Norman
Schwarzkopf. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore
diameter nine inches from the breech both proofed and
measured at 16.0 mm (.630 inches); choke constriction
.007/.018 inches; minimum wall thickness .029/.031 inches;
1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 1/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/4
inch length of pull; cast-on; weight 6 lbs. 8 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original
blue, pewter, and gold finishes with minor handling
evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend.
Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine. This fantastic
piece is a wonderful blend of General Schwarzkopf’s legacy
as a soldier and a sportsman!
Provenance: The Collection of General H. Norman
Schwarzkopf (Ret.).
