Fleming/Heckler & Koch HK53 Sear/Host Combo, Class III/NFA
-A) Fleming Firearms Auto Sear, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable
Machine Gun - Serial no. H-1136, 223 cal., matte gray finish. Sear is hand
numbered and installed in an unmarked shelf pattern trigger pack, which
is configured with a right-handed selector and safe/semi/full internals.
CONDITION: Excellent, with minor handling marks. Mechanically in
good order. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act
(NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with
the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives,
(BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and
27 CFR part 479. B) Heckler & Koch “HK53” Host Gun - Serial no.
A127457, 223 cal., 9 inch round bbl., black finish, metal stock. Originally
manufactured in 1981 in Germany as a semi-automatic rifle, this item
serves as the host gun for the auto sear listed as item “A” in this lot.
Features a hooded post front and four-position drum rear sights, with
a commercial pattern threaded muzzle, “IBR” marked barrel, triangular
handguard, textured pistol grip, and a telescoping
buttstock. The receiver is in “shelf” configuration,
with a functional paddle lever for the magazine
catch. Model/importer markings on the magazine
well, with the serial number for the registered sear
added to the right side, and the Vollmer address
on the right side of the frame beneath the trigger
housing. The trigger housing is equipped with a
right-handed selector and bears “0/1/25” position
markings and a cosmetic hinge pin. Internally, the
bolt head is dated “IA” (1980), with a shortened full
auto pattern bolt carrier. Included with the lot are
four extra magazines in paper wrapping.
CONDITION: Very good overall as converted and
refinished, with 90% of the factory quality black
finish, showing mild scuffing and handling marks.
A finished-over cut is present on the left side of the barrel
under the forearm; it does not appear deep enough to
affect the bore. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This item is a
“host” for a NFA-registered conversion component, and will
not be separated from that component for sale or shipment.
The serial numbered receiver of this item has not been
permanently altered to accept the conversion component,
and is called out by serial number on the paperwork for the
conversion component.
