Exceptional Well-Documented Factory Large Scroll Engraved Boss & Co. Best
Quality Sidelock Over/Under Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 7749, 12 gauge, 26 1/2
inch solid rib bbl., black/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Completed in 1931, this
gun was built with black Whitworth steel ribless barrels featuring a short sight ramp
at the muzzle, a beautifully scroll engraved sighting flat at the breech, light engraving
around the breech and barrel wings, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors.
The barrels are marked with 1974 dated London reproof marks on the flats, an added
unknown inscription in calligraphic script at the left of the upper chamber, and
Whitworths “sheaf of wheat” trademarks on both tubes.
