Bee. The gun features a
single nickeled bead sight
on the matted flat vent
rib, a single gold band at
the breech, gold inlaid
factory markings, gold wire
inlays on the barrel wings, chokes marked “**-”/”**” (improved cylinder/modified), and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the blued action which displays a gorgeous fully
gold inlaid trio of game scenes surrounded by gold linework long with vines and relief engraved leaves which continue onto the toplever, trigger guard, and long lower tang. The game scenes depict a pair
of pheasant cocks flushing from cover on the left side, a pair of feeding quail on the underside, and a pair of mallards taking flight off a pond on the right. The engraving is signed “ABEE” on either side of the
action at the low rear. The gun features a single gold trigger and a tang mounted manual safety/selector with gold inlaid “S”, “O”, and “U”. The gun is fitted with a highly figured and finely checkered Schnabel
tip forend with engraved iron as well as a pistol grip stock with teardrop carved drop points and a factory buttplate. Includes a Browning faux leather takedown case.
Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .626/.625 inches; choke constriction .009/.015 inches; minimum wall thickness .039/.038 inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2
inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 15 oz.
CONDITION: Exceptional retaining 99% blue and gold finishes with minor handling evidence, a gap at the rear of the forend to action fit, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.
