rear sight on the matted rear quarter rib which is marked “SUPER MAGNUM Explora”, “WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co. LONDON” on the concave section of the rib, rifle chokes, period Birmingham nitro proof marks, and chambers with single extractor. The border engraved casehardened boxlock action is signed “WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co.” on either side. The gun features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with dark horn tip, and round knob pistol grip stock with blank inscription oval and a factory dark horn buttplate. Length of pull 14 1/2 inches. Weight 8 lbs. 1 oz. CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 90% original blue finish on the barrels, traces of original blue on the triggerguard, 20% original case colors with the balance a fine grey, spotting down much of the barrels, minor insect holes in the horn, overall light handling evidence, and crisp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent.

Blued steel barrels with blade front sight, five folding leaf rear sight on the rear quarter rib which is marked “The Fauneta”, “WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co LONDON” and “MADE EXPRESSLY FOR LYON & LYON CALCUTTA” marked on the right and left respectively, period Birmingham nitro proofs, and chambers with automatic ejectors. The blued boxlock action displays
attractive scroll engraving with “WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co.” signatures on either side and features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and horn tip inlay and round knob pistol grip stock with
checkered flats, tear drop carved drop points, “ZOHRA BEGAM/Z.B/(Hindi)” marked in the inscription oval, and a blued steel trapdoor buttplate. Length of pull 14 3/16 inches. Weight 7 lbs. 3 oz. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally refurbished, retaining 98% reapplied blue finish, some light pitting in areas beneath the finish, minor handling evidence, a few dings and scratches in the wood, and well-defined checkering on the wood.
