Outstanding Carl Ennis Double Signed Factory Game Scene Engraved Remington Model 141 F Grade Slide Action Rifle - Serial no. 55819, 35 Rem cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The barrel
is fitted with ramped beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights and marked with the Remington address on the left below the rear sight, caliber marking on the left of the chamber, and 1947 date code on the lower left side of the chamber. A spray of floral scroll is engraved on top of the chamber. The receiver displays near full coverage floral scroll, wavy line, and geometric engraving which surrounds five game scenes. The left side of the receiver depicts a bear catching a fish in a stream at the front and a moose looking out over the mountains at the rear. A stalking mountain lion is shown on the right at the front with a pair of white-tailed deer springing into action at the rear. Atop the action is an elk bust. The model and grade markings along with the serial numbers are all hand cut. The work is signed ā€œEā€ for Remington engraver Carl Ennis in both the moose scene
and next to the deer scene. The rifle is mounted in a nicely figured multipoint checkered walnut forend with engraved to match screw heads and pistol grip buttstock with gold initial oval, hard rubber Remington grip cap, and checkered plastic Remington buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish with a few minor handling marks on the magazine tube and crisp engraving. The partially refinished wood is very fine with a few minor dings and scratches as well as some texturing in the mostly original varnish around the reset plaque at the belly of the buttstock and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. This wonderful rifle would make a worthy addition to any Remington or slide action collection ! Estimate: 7,500 - 12,000
  patent markings on the left side of the barrel and a 2 inch scroll engraved wedge on either side of the breech. The model marking and serial number are hand engraved on the underside, with scrollwork on the sides, top and bottom, zig-zag and punch-dot borders on the sides and lower edges, and light starburst and cross accents. Checkered pistol grip stock, with an engraved forearm cap, hard rubber Remington-UMC grip cap and a checkered Remington-UMC buttplate. Choke gauges improved modified, with a 14 1/2 inch length of pull, 1 5/8 drop at comb, 2 7/8 inch drop at heel. CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% of the original blue finish, showing some light spotting on the trigger, safety and bolt, a few dings on the receiver pins, and scattered light handling marks. The wood is very fine, with some mild crazing of the varnish and a few dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 5,000
