Desirable Engraved Winchester DHE Grade Parker Reproduction Double Barrel Shotgun Two Barrel Set with Case - Serial
no. 12-00793, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib
bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in
the 1980s to be a faithful reproduction of the beloved Parker side by side shotgun, this example has standard floral scroll engraving
with a dog on point on each side of the action and a covey of pheasants in a field scene on the underside. The barrels have a single brass bead sight on the matte concave solid rib, modified/full chokes, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. It has blue barrels, buttplate and trigger guard and casehardened remaining parts. It is mounted on a very nicely figured multi-point checkered walnut forearm with engraved hardware and straight grip stock with teardrop flats, lightly engraved skeletonized buttplate around a checkered bare butt, and gold initial oval. It includes a Parker Reproduction leather takedown case with outer canvas cover, and two nickel snap caps. Includes an extra 26 inch solid rib barrel set with 2 3/4 inch chambers and improved cylinder/modified chokes. Additional barrel measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .735/.735 inches; choke constriction .008/.011 inches; wall thickness at nine inches from breech .030/.027 inches. Barrel and stock measurements: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .734/.734 inches; choke constriction .011/.035; wall thickness at nine inches from breech .030/.026 inches; drop at comb 1 1/4 inches; drop at heel 2 inches; 14 1/16 inch length of pull. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks and crisp engraving. Beautiful, highly figured, fleur-de-lis checkered forend with engraved fittings and black tip inlay and straight grip stock with leather covered recoil pad. Included is an extra set of matching 26 inch barrels featuring 3 inch chambers as well as a factory box. Barrel measurements for the extra set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .626/.627 inches; choke constriction .007/.016 inches; minimum wall thickness .034/.031 inches. Factory Engraved Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Co. 28 Gauge RBL Reserve Launch Edition Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. RBL005892, 28 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened
finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with single brass bead sight on the smooth concave solid rib, standard barrel markings as well as “RESERVE” on the rib at the chambers, choked improved cylinder/modified, and 2 3/4
inch chambers with ejectors. The casehardened action displays a pointer scene on the left and a
setter scene on the right with a lone quail on the bottom. The gun features a single selective trigger
and tang mounted automatic safety switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with
engraved fittings and Anson button style release and pistol grip stock with serrated black buttplate. Includes a takedown
case containing two snap caps. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/16 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 13 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and vivid case colors with limited handling marks. Wood is very fine with a crack in the varnish on the left side of the buttstock near the comb and a few dings near the heel as well as crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is excellent.
