Early Production Second Generation Colt Single Action Army Revolver with Original Black Box -
Serial no. 7545SA, 45 Long Colt cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1956 with standard markings and features, including matching numbers (grips not numbered). The
black box has the matching “7545” on the
bottom in red and contains papers and a
cleaning brush.
CONDITION: Excellent overall with 95%
plus original blue and casehardened
finish, minor wear at the edges and
muzzle, small patches of light oxidation/
pitting on the loading gate and top strap, flash marks, general
minor handling and storage marks, and light drag lines.
Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with the top
detached, some tears on the panels, and general minor storage wear. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500

Of all the Second Generation Single Action Army revolvers produced in .38 Special, the most common configuration was with a blued/ casehardened finish and 5 1/2 inch barrel, with 6,506 produced as noted in Don Wilkerson’s “The Post-War
Colt Single Action Army Revolver 1955-1975.” Standard markings and features. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame
(with suffix), triggerguard, back strap,
and inside the grip panels (sans suffix). Assembly number “155” marked on the loading gate. Includes the original
Colt black box.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue and vivid casehardened finishes with a double light cylinder drag line, minimal handling evidence, and crisp grip checkering. The box
is very fine. Mechanically excellent. A standout example of a first year production Second Generation Single Action Army revolver!

inch barrel chambered for .45
Long Colt, with blue finish and
grips not listed when shipped
alone to National Gun Traders
in Miami, Florida, on June 20,
1958. As noted in his book “The
Post-War Colt Single Action Army Revolver 1955-1975,” Author Don Wilkerson notes that of all the .45 Long Colt chambered Second Generation Single Action Army revolvers, only 5,352 were manufactured with blue/casehardened finishes and
4 3/4 inch barrels, making it the fourth least common variation for the caliber. Assembly number “696” is found on the loading gate. Matching serial numbers are on the frame, trigger guard, back strap, partials on the inside of both grips, and the last three digits on the cylinder front face. Includes original Colt box, cleaning rod, and manual.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue and casehardened finishes with minimal handling evidence and crisp grip checkering. The box is very fine. Mechanically excellent.

Colt Second Generation Single Action Army Revolver
with Black Box - Serial no. 4011SA, 45 Long Colt cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, plastic grips. Manufactured in 1956. Standard markings and features. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, triggerguard, and back strap with partial serial number inside each grip panel and on the front cylinder face. Assembly number “17” is marked inside the loading gate.
Includes a non-matching factory Colt box with
correct end label.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 95% of
original blue and casehardened finishes, with a
cylinder drag line, minor handling marks, and thinning
on the front and back straps. The right side grip panel
has a separated piece on the inside from around the
threaded collar, and crisp checkering. The box is fine.
Mechanically excellent.
