Original Black Box and Factory Letter -
Serial no. 27277SA, 45 Long Colt cal., 4
3/4 inch round bbl., nickel finish, plastic

the revolver as having a 4 3/4 inch barrel
chambered for .45 Long Colt, with nickel finish and grips not listed when shipped
alone to Peerless Inc. in Rossville, Georgia, on September 4, 1959. As noted in his book “The Post-War Colt Single Action Army Revolver 1955-1975,” Author Don Wilkerson notes that of all the .45 Long Colt chambered second generation Single Action Army revolvers, only 1,384 were manufactured with nickel finishes and 4 3/4 inch barrels, making it the least common variation for the caliber. Assembly number “150” is found on the loading gate. Includes original factory Colt box, cleaning rod, and manual.
