Mauser Parabellum
29/70 Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Box - Serial no. 10.000003, 30 Luger Auto cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue/ straw finish, walnut grips. One of very few documented Mauser factory development prototype Parabellum 29/70 Luger pistols, which were created after Parabellum 29/70 production was under way to further develop the line. Parabellum 06/73 pistols emulated. This
specific example has appeared in several
different publications, including on page 130 of
John Walter’s “Luger.” With original box, plastic
display stand, user’s manual, takedown tool, an issue of
“Automatic Magazine” which features the pistol, and the collector’s
notes. There are few Mauser Parabellum 29/70 pistols that are as well documented as this. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue and straw finishes with minimal cycling wear and crisp grip checkering. The box is fine with worn
seams. Mechanically excellent.
Provenance: The Klaus Meyer Collection.
