Rare Factory Engraved Parker Brothers GHE Grade Double Barrel Shotgun with 34 Inch Barrels - Serial no. 195183, 12 gauge, 34 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1921 and is one of just seven guns built in this configuration of 12 gauge GH Grade and 34 inch Special Steel barrels per the chart on page 279 of “The Parker Story” by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote making this among the rarest ever built. Dual bead sights on the matted solid rib which is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. SPECIAL STEEL”, lengthened 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and choke constrictions of .042/.041 inches. The
  casehardened action features standard GH engraving consisting of oval game bird scenes on the left, right, and underside surrounded by light scrollwork and line borders. The gun features a Miller single trigger and tang mounted manual safety. Attractively figured, multi-point checkered

 LOT 1621 Parker Brothers VH Grade Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 221185, 12 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1927. Blued Vulcan Steel barrels with dual white bead sights on the matte concave rib, standard markings, and chambers measured at 2 3/4 inches with single extractor. Casehardened boxlock action features double triggers, automatic tang mounted safety, and light zig-zag border engraving. Multi-point checkered forend with Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with Parker grip cap, blank inscription shield, and dog’s head buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .734/.734 inches; choke constriction .024/.040 inches; minimum wall thickness .033/.035 inches; 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 11/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 13 oz. CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 98% original blue on the barrels, 60% original blue on the triggerguard, 85% original case colors with the majority of the loss on the underside, light handling evidence, areas of the original of varnish built up on the action edges, a slight chip on the top left of the stock head, and sharp wood checkering. CONDITION: Very fine as refinished likely by the Remington factory, retaining 98% reapplied blue and casehardened finishes with minor handling evidence, some discoloration around the breech, light handling evidence, reapplied varnish to the wood, several cracks coming off the forend iron, and sharp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750
English recoil pad. Stock measurements: 1 11/16 inch drop at comb; 2 5/8 inch drop at heel; 14 5/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 5 oz. CONDITION: Very good, retaining 90% refinished blue on the barrels which have some thinning and plum patina, grey patina on the triggerguard, 40% original case colors with the balance grey, and a few small dents in the left barrel. The wood is very fine as revarnished with a few dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750
