Rare 1932 Winchester Trifold Advertisement - Displays like this would have adorned the counters of gun shops in the golden age of American hunting. The central panel shows a yellow border with “Get your/WINCEHSTER/GREAT GUNS and AMMUNITION” above a piece of artwork by Arthur Davenport. The piece shows two hunters in a hilly woodland wearing traditional 1930s apparel. The one that is closer to the viewer is armed with a Model 12 slide action shotgun while the hunter cresting the hill is armed with the Model 21 double barrel, both venerable models in their own right. The duo is joined by a pair of setters. The text at the bottom of the artwork reads “-be ready when/the great days come. The work is signed in the lower right corner by the artist Arthur Davenport. The fold out wings show several game scenes of a bear, white-tailed deer, and fox on the right with a Model 54 and 55 rifle and mallard duck, grouse, and squirrel and rabbit on the left with a Model 12 and 21 shotgun. At the butts of the guns are boxes of
Winchester ammunition.
