   LOT 3651 Factory Engraved Famars Castore Double Barrel Hammer Shotgun - Serial no. 29330, 12 gauge, 28 7/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with a single steel bead sight on the smooth concave solid rib which has a flourish of scroll at the breech, “Armi Famars” marked on left barrel, import mark under forend, 1972 dated Italian proofs, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with single extractor. The coin finished hammer fired action displays tasteful light floral scroll engraving, intricate hammers, and an attractive pierced toplever. The gun features double
triggers and rebounding hammers. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with Anson button release and straight grip stock with checkered bare butt. Barrel
and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 18.4mm (.724 inches) and both measured .727 inches; choke constriction .021/.042 inches; minimum wall thickness .029/.028 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; cast-on; weight 6 lbs. 14 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes, minor handling evidence, minor spotting on the underside of the action, and overall sharp checkering on the wood with a few pressure marks. Mechanically excellent.

Factory Engraved Breda Sidelock Double Barrel Shotgun Two Barrel Set - Serial no. 164, 12 gauge, 28 3/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with a single bead sight on the matted concave solid rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, import mark under forend, and proof date of 1950. The coin finished sidelock action shows floral scroll engraving with relief carved oak leaves on the fences. The gun features double triggers (front articulated), bushed firing pins, and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings and Anson button release, and pistol grip stock with ventilated rubber recoil pad. Includes a second 28 3/8 inch 12 gauge barrel set with matching number and 2 3/4 inch chambers and later (1983) proofs. Barrel measurements for extra set: bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 18.5mm (.728 inches) and measured .730/.732 inches; choke constriction .020/.037 inches; minimum wall .024/.027 thickness inches.
