Angelo Bee Signed, Master Engraved and Gold Inlaid Remington Rolling Block Rifle - Serial no. 733,
45-70 Government cal., 30 3/8 inch octagon bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, fancy checkered/carved walnut stock. This rifle is a beautiful example of Master Engraver
Angelo Bee’s work. The muzzle is adorned by a single gold band and tri-oak leaves on each barrel flat, and near the breech is a double gold band, floral engravings,
     and a gold inlaid caliber marking. Mounted on the “1902” patent dated top tang is a windage and elevation adjustable peep sight,
the front sight is absent. The receiver is engraved with floral scrollwork and gold inlaid borders. The left side has
two gold inlaid rams in a mountain scene as well as the artist’s signature, “A BEE” with a small bee next to the signature. The right side is adorned by a gold inlay of a bison calf on an engraved plateau scene. A lacquer covers the receiver to preserve the surface of the engraving and inlays. The multi-point checkered straight grip stock has a raised cheekpiece
and a skeleton buttplate, with the bottom of the wrist and forend embellished by oak leaf and acorn carvings.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, as master embellished by Master Engraver Angelo Bee with a few light dings and scratches, vibrant
case colors, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 6,500 - 9,500

Ballard Rifle and Cartridge Company Model 1885 Schuetzen Rifle -
Serial no. W476, 38-55 cal., 32 inch heavy octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, highly figured walnut stock. The No. 4 weight barrel is fitted with
a globe spirit gauge front sight and marked with the Ballard Rifle and Cartridge Company address on the upper left barrel flat, “4” barrel weight on the bottom flat just ahead of the forend, and caliber marking on the
upper left flat just ahead of the breach. The receiver is fitted with a tang mounted peep sight, double
set triggers and fancy schuetzen style lever. The rifle is mounted in an magnificently figured multipoint checkered walnut Schnabel tip forend with ebony insert
and walnut palm rest, and a pistol grip buttstock with shadowline cheekpiece and casehardened pistol grip cap and Swiss buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks. Wood is also excellent with limited handling marks and a few minor dings and
scratches on the buttstock. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500
LOT 3694 C. Sharps Arms Co. Model 1885 High Wall Rifle with Special Order 22 Inch Barrel - Serial no. 85-893, 30-40 Krag cal., 22 inch heavy octagon bbl., blue/French gray finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in Big Timber, Montana, this rifle was special ordered with a 22 inch octagonal barrel. The barrel is in C. Sharps Company’s “Number 3” weight category, and features hooded globe front and tang peep sights. The action is fitted with a single set trigger and is mounted in a nicely figured walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with pewter forend and grip inserts and steel shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue and French gray finishes with very little handling evidence. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,500 - 3,750
