Factory Engraved Parker Brothers DHE Grade Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 172847, 12 gauge, 32 inch vent rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with dual bead sights on the added matted vent rib, 2 1/2 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and choke constrictions of .030/.035 inches. The casehardened boxlock action features standard DH Grade engraving consisting of floral scroll work surrounding game scenes. The game scenes depict a setter in a field on the right, a brood of pheasants in tall grass on the underside, and a pointer in a field on the left. The gun has a single trigger and manual safety. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with carved
flats, blank inscription oval, and a NOSHOC recoil pad. The above configuration, with the exception of the vent rib, is confirmed on page 462 of “Parker Gun Identification & Serialization” by
Price and Fjestad. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 1 3/4 inch drop at heel; 13 5/8 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 11 oz. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally refurbished, retaining 98% blue finish on the barrels, brown patina on the triggerguard, 80% case colors, recut engraving, minor handling evidence, and sharp

LOT 3686 Factory Engraved Parker Brothers DH Grade Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 91708, 12 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued Titanic steel barrels with dual bead sights on the matted, concave solid rib, standard markings, lengthened 3 inch chambers with single extractor, and choke constrictions of .036/.035 inches. The casehardened boxlock action features standard DH Grade engraving consisting of floral scroll work surrounding game scenes. The game scenes depict a setter in a field on the right, a brood of pheasants in tall grass on the underside, and a pointer in a field on the left. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with carved flats, “S. E. Massey/Middletown/Del./Nov. 29
1900” in the inscription oval, and an added Pachmayr Old English recoil pad. S. E. Massey was a jewelery store owner in Middletown, Delaware, as well as a rather accomplished
shooter with scores listed in the local papers. The above configuration is confirmed on page 308 of “Parker Gun Identification & Serialization” by Price and Fjestad. Stock measurements: 1 3/4 inch drop at comb; 2 5/8 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 12 oz.
CONDITION: Fine, retaining 40% plus original blue finish with thinning and spotting, smooth grey patina on the action with a coat of varnish remaining on the edges, a few minor dings and scratches, some high edge wear on the revarnished wood, and mostly crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,400 - 2,250
LOT 3687 Factory Engraved Parker Brothers GHE Grade Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 213568, 12 gauge, 32 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1925. Single bead sight on the matted solid rib which is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. SPECIAL STEEL” (the word “SPECIAL” is remarked”), lengthened 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and choke constrictions of .038/.038 inches. The casehardened action features standard GH engraving consisting of oval game bird scenes on the left, right, and underside surrounded by light scrollwork and line borders. The gun features double triggers and tang mounted automatic safety. Attractively figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with silver inscription shield and a Del Grego red rubber recoil pad. According to page 532 of “Parker Gun Identification & Serialization” by Price and Fjestad this gun
left the factory as a DHE Grade gun, though it appears as though it has been converted to its current Remington era GHE configuration, possibly by Larry Del Grego. Stock measurements: 1

LOT 3688 Factory Engraved Parker Brothers GH Grade Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 215530, 12 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1926 as one of only 1,088 built in this configuration per page 279 of “The Parker Story” by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote. Dual white bead sights on the matted solid rib which is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. PARKER SPEC. STEEL”, chambers measured 2 3/4 inch with extractor, and choke constrictions of .025/.042 inches. The casehardened action features standard GH engraving consisting of oval game bird scenes on the left, right, and underside surrounded by light scrollwork and line borders. The gun features double
