Excellent Double Signed Factory Game Scene Engraved and Gold Inlaid Belgian Browning Grade V BAR Semi-Automatic Rifle with Scope - Serial no. 73268M72, 30-06 cal., 22 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The Grade V rifles were only manufactured from 1971 to 1974, with this rifle being manufactured in 1971. This example features a tapered barrel manufactured without sights. The left side near the breech is marked with the one line address over “MADE IN BELGIUM”, and the caliber designation and “BROWNING PATENTS” are on the right side. Each side of the receiver is engraved with scenes of three gold inlaid animals (antelope on left, deer on right) with a gold inlaid wire border. Surrounding the scenes is a floral vine design with a punch dot background. The same floral
vine design is on the bottom of the magazine and trigger guard. The receiver is signed “L. ERNST” and “G. Marechal” on the left for engravers Lucien Ernst and
Georges Marechal. The top of the receiver has a matte finish and is topped with a Leupold VX-III 3.5-10x40 scope. Mounted in a nicely figured floral scroll carved forearm and pistol grip stock with sling swivel studs and Browning buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks and crisp engraving and stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. Scope is excellent with clear optics and a crisp reticle. Estimate: 8,000 - 12,000

Freddy Pauwels Signed Factory Engraved Belgian Browning Grade III Trombone Slide Action Rifle - Serial no. 166CS01250, 22 cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue/ coin finish, walnut stock. Fitted with beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights, and standard markings. The receiver displays factory Grade III engraving consisting of a setter chasing a duo of pheasant, and a pointer with top mallards on the left and right sides respectively. The engraving is signed on the
underside of the action “F. PAUWELS” for FN engraver Freddy Pauwels. Mounted with a nicely contrasted multipoint checkered walnut
15 groove forend and pistol grip stock with blued steel buttplate.
