WINCHESTER”, 1 inch wedges of scroll engraving at either breech, jeweled flats
and forend hanger, chokes marked “WS-2”/”MOD”, and 3 inch chambers with
automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a handsomely blued action
which displays a jeweled watertable and floral scroll engraving on all
sides continuing onto the toplever and triggerguard and surrounding
four separate panel game scenes. The scenes consist of a standing
pheasant rooster on the left, a grouse displaying plumage on the right,
a setter with a bird in its mount on the underside, and a pointing setter
on the triggerguard. The gun features a single selective gold trigger and
a tang mounted automatic safety. The gun is mounted with a beautifully
figured and multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings and
an ebony tip inlay along with a straight grip stock with a blank gold inscription oval
and a checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine
inches from the breech .616/.616 inches; choke constriction .007/.017 inches; minimum
wall thickness .039/.041 inches; 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 12 5/16 inch drop at heel; 14 5/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 15 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine as professionally upgraded to current configuration, retaining 99% blue finish with some minor subsurface pitting on the action, minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.

Engraved and Gold Inlaid Winchester Model 21 Deluxe Skeet Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 25378, 12 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold finish, walnut stock. Built with blued Winchester Proof Steel barrels featuring dual white bead sights
on the matted vent rib, standard Winchester markings, bands of engraving and
1 3/4 inch wedges of scroll at either breech, chokes marked “WS-1”/”WS-2”, and
2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a blued
action with extensive oak leaf engraving over a matted background
surrounding an engraved woodcock on the left and a snipe on the right
in addition to three gold inlaid bird scenes consisting of a grouse on the
left, a rooster pheasant on the right, and a quail in flight on the underside.
The underside of the action is marked “DELUXE/SKEET” and the oak leaf
engraving extends to the toplever, triggerguard, and both tangs. The gun
features a single selective trigger and a tang mounted manual safety.
The gun is mounted with a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered
beavertail forend with engraved fittings as well as a straight grip stock
with a Pachmayr White-Line recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L):
bore diameter nine inches from the breech .737/.736 inches; choke constriction
.009(jug)/.010 inches; minimum wall thickness .030/.033 inches; 1 1/4 inch drop at
comb; 1 5/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 15 oz.
CONDITION: Fine as elaborately custom embellished, retaining 95% blue finish, nearly all of the gold finish,
some fine spotting on the barrels, and some edge wear. The stock has gaps at the fitment to the action and
tangs, otherwise the wood is very fine with some light scratches and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
