The wood is outstanding with beautiful figure on the beavertail forend with casehardened and gold inlaid shoe and the round
knob pistol grip stock with gold inscription oval marked “S.R.M.” along with the highly attractive fleur-de-lis double line bordered checkering running throughout both pieces. Included is an oak & leather takedown case containing a nickel oiler and pair of snap caps. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 1 13/16 inch drop at heel; 16 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 5 lbs. 6 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue, casehardened, and gold finishes with minor handling evidence, a few speckles of oxidation along the side of the rib, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent. Do not let this chance to own one of the finest American made guns available engraved by an Italian master!
