Scarce Factory Engraved Pinned and Recessed Smith & Wesson Model 629 Double Action Revolver with Case - Serial no. N780193, 44 Magnum cal., 6 inch solid rib bbl., stainless finish, goncalo alves grips. Manufactured in 1980. An earlier production example with pinned barrel and cylinder counterbored, safety features which were subsequently deemed unnecessary and eliminated in 1982 with the Model 629-1. Knowledgeable collectors estimate only 100 stainless steel pinned and recessed Model 629s were factory engraved. Features fixed orange ramp blade front and adjustable tangent rear sights, matted top strap and rib, with 70% coverage of Class A floral scroll engraving across the frame, cylinder, and barrel. Fitted with a set of oiled goncalo alves grips with silver S&W monogram medallions. Includes blue box, cleaning tools, walnut display case, and shipping box. CONDITION: Excellent overall, with limited handling marks, a light cylinder drag line, and crisp engraving. The display case has a disintegrating felt interior but is otherwise very fine. Excellent Factory Engraved Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 Double Action Revolver with Case - Serial no. N752343, 44 Magnum cal., 8 3/8 inch solid rib bbl., nickel/casehardened finish, goncalo alves grips. Manufactured in 1980. Standard markings with Class A style (75% coverage) floral scrollwork engraving on the barrel, frame, cylinder, and trigger guard. Fitted with a pair of oiled goncalo alves grips with silver S&W medallions. Includes factory hardwood display case and cleaning tools.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original nickel finish with a faint cylinder drag line and crisp engravings. The display case is very fine. Mechanically excellent.

Revolver with Factory Case - Serial
no. S153134, 44 Magnum cal., 4 inch
solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured between 1956 and
1957 on the 5-screw frame. Fitted
with a red ramp blade front and white
outline notched tangent rear sights,
casehardened wide spur hammer and
trigger. Fitted with checkered walnut
grips with silver Smith & Wesson
medallions. The grip frame under the
left grip bears the factory refinishing
mark with a return date of February
1976 (276). Includes a black leatherette Smith & Wesson case marked “44 MAGNUM”.
CONDITION: Excellent as factory refinished, retaining 99% plus blue finish with minimal handling marks, a light cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine.

The frame has the S&W marking on the sideplate and patent on the right side. Fitted with S&W medallion checkered grips. Includes a George Laurence holster and cartridge belt. The belt is hand marked “JOH” next to the belt’s
maker marking.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 75% original blue finish with holster type
wear on the leading edges, a cylinder drag line, cylinder front face flash marks, cartridge marks on the frame. The left side of the frame has a long deep gouge which has been refinished over. Grips are also very fine with chips at the butt, softened checkering, and some light dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Cartridge belt is excellent with some light handling marks.

686-1 Double Action Revolver - Serial no. AWT6703, 357
magnum cal., 2 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., stainless finish, bone grips. The revolver is decorated with a nearly full coverage custom scroll engraving on punch dot backgrounds along with zig zag borders. Fitted with a set of bone grips featuring silver S&W medallions.
CONDITION: Very fine as custom embellished overall showing limited handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
