Factory Engraved Von Lengerke & Detmold Retailed Belgian .410 Bore “Knock About” Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 82613, 410 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, walnut stock. Built with blued steel barrels
featuring a single nickel bead sight on the matte concave solid rib, “THE KNOCK ABOUT GUN” marked on the right tube, unclear New York retailer on the left tube, 2 1/2 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and choke constrictions of .005/.018 inches. The barrels are fitted to a petite casehardened boxlock action which is marked on the left side “THE KNOCK ABOUT GUN”, the
right side is marked “VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD /NEW YORK”, and the underside is marked “BELGIUM” along with attractive scrollwork. The gun features a pair of triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety with gold inlaid “S” marking. The gun is mounted with an attractively figured and multi-point checkered forend and round knob pistol grip stock with a blank silver inscription oval and a horn buttplate. Included is a period oak & leather takedown case with a set of cleaning tools. Stock measurements: 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 9/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 4 lbs. 2 oz. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally restored, retaining 95% plus blue finish, 80% original case colors, minor handling evidence, some spotting on the barrels, a few dings and scratches in the wood, and sharp wood checkering. The case is good. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 5,000

Factory Engraved Webley & Scott Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 139791, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Built with blued steel barrels with a single bead sight on the smooth concave solid rib, 1968 dated Birmingham
proofs, import mark under forend, choke constrictions of .003/.015 inches, and 2 3/4 inch
chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a casehardened boxlock action which displays scroll engraving and features double triggers and an automatic tang mounted safety. The gun is mounted with a lightly figured and multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and a straight grip stock with an “A.E” marked inscription oval and a checkered bare butt. Includes a canvas bound takedown case. Stock measurements: 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 14 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% original blue finish, 99% original case colors, much of the loss on the lower tang, and light handling evidence. The wood is very fine with some pressure marks and scratches and sharp checkering. The case is good. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,000 - 1,500

Factory Engraved Von Lengerke & Detmold Retailer Marked A. Francotte Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 81427, 12 gauge, 28 1/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Built with blued steel barrels featuring a single white bead sight on the matted concave solid rib, “VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD” and “ U.S. AGENTS NEW-YORK” marked on the right and left respectively, engraving at the breech, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a casehardened sideplated boxlock action with carved fences and scroll engraving surrounding Francotte signatures on either side, game bird scenes on the left and right, and a gold inlaid federal eagle on the
underside. The gun features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety with gold inlaid “S”. The gun is mounted with an attractively figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a round knob pistol grip stock with blank gold inscription oval and leather covered recoil pad. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 5/16 inch drop
at heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 6 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, 80% original blue, 50% original case colors with the balance a fine grey, some thinning in spots, minor spotting on the barrels, and overall sharp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,500
LOT 3586 Factory Engraved A. Conyers Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 2953, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Built with blued steel barrels featuring a single nickel bead sight on the smooth concave solid rib which is marked “ARTHUR CONYERS 3. WEST ST. BLANDFORD.” with a flourish of scroll at the base, single band of engraving at the breech, import mark under forend, both original and later (1988 dated) Birmingham proofs on the flats, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a casehardened boxlock action which shows scroll engraving around “A. CONYERS.” banners on either side. The gun features double triggers and a manual tang safety. The gun is mounted in a nicely figured and multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and a straight grip stock with blank silver inscription oval and a checkered horn buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 5/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 6 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% plus reapplied blue finish with the triggerguard showing wear, traces of original case colors, light handling evidence, a few dings and scratches in the wood, and overall crisp checkering. LOT 3587 Factory Game Scene Engraved Gebruder Merkel Boxlock Combination Gun with Schmidt & Bender Scope - Serial no. 551239, 20/9.3x72R gauge, 23 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Built with blued Krupp steel barrels featuring a blade front sight, flip rear sight, and German style claw mounts holding a Schmidt & Bender 1.5-6x42mm scope on the matted solid rib, import mark under the forend, 2001 dated German proofs, front sling swivel, and chambers with automatic ejectors. The 20 gauge barrel has a 3 inch chamber and a choke constriction of .031 inches. The barrels are paired with a coin finished boxlock action which displays a bore and piglets on the left and a fox and rabbit on the right surrounded by light scroll. The gun features bushed firing pins, double triggers (single set front), cocking indicators, and a tang safety. The gun is fitted with a lightly figured and checkered forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with black grip cap, raised cheekpiece, rear sling swivel, and black buttplate. Length of pull 14 3/8 inches. Weight 9 lbs. 1 oz. (with scope). CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence, some dried grease on the action, and sharp checkering on the wood.
