The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved blue fittings and an Anson button release as well as a straight grip stock with teardrop carved drop points, gold inscription oval marked “S.R.M”, and a black leather covered recoil pad. Included is the original oak and leather takedown with canvas cover marked “S.R.M.”, interior lid label,

CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes, some slight plum coloration on the barrels and triggerguard, minor handling evidence, some minor rubbing at the muzzles, some thin spots of varnish on the stock, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with some wear to the lid. A great opportunity to own a fine English shotgun from one of the world’s top makers! Estimate: 45,000 - 70,000
