Documented Smith & Wesson .357 Registered Magnum Double Action Revolver Inscribed to Original Owner with Box and Registration Certificate - Serial no. 50069, 357 magnum cal., 6 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. This particular Registered Magnum with reg. no. 1782 is one of 1,518 manufactured with a 6 1/2 inch barrel. The accompanying registration certificate confirms the 6 1/2 inch barrel, Patridge front sight, and square notch rear sight. The gun was registered to Nick B. Katsaros of St. Louis, Missouri. The sideplate is period inscribed with the original owner’s name: “NICK
B. KATSAROS.” Matching serial numbers appear on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder, and ejector shroud. Fitted with a set of S&W medallion checkered Magna grips. Includes a period correct model factory box, knurled handle screwdriver, bore brush, and period Registered Magnum advertising brochure.
CONDITION: Extremely fine, retaining 95% plus original blue finish with some muzzle and edge wear, a few patches of spotting/pitting, and cylinder drag line. The hammer and trigger retain 97% original case colors. The grips are very fine with a small chip at the top (left panel), some minor handling marks mostly on the bottom, and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fair. A factory documented .357 Registered Magnum revolver inscribed to the original owner that will be added dimension to any S&W collection.
