U.S. Colt Model 1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Case and Extra Magazines - Serial no. 329503, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1918. Two-line/two-block address and patent dates on the left side of the slide divided by the Rampant Colt, the Army nomenclature on the reverse, United States Property marked and “eagle head/ S12” inspected frame, long smooth trigger, wide checkered hammer, short grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing, an unmarked two-tone magazine, and a full blue barrel with “H/P” on top of the chamber hood. With a hardwood case bearing a brass “American Great Seal” plate on the lid, two extra two- tone magazines, an extra set of checkered walnut grips, and an invoice from Turnbull Restoration dated to December 2020, detailing the work done on the pistol and included magazines and stating that all currently installed parts appear to be period correct. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally restored by Turnbull Restoration, with 99% of the factory quality blue finish, showing minimal handling marks. The magazines show some pitting and dings, the grips show mild dents and scuffs, and the case is good. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,500 - 4,000

Excellent World War II U.S. Remington-Rand
Model 1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol with
Holster - Serial no. 2390587, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round
bbl., parkerized finish, plastic grips. Manufactured in
1945, the last year of U.S. contract Remington-Rand
M1911A1 pistol production. The left side of the slide is marked with the correct third type two-line “REMINGTON RAND INC./SYRACUSE, N.Y.U.S.A.” address and a “P” on top.
The left side of the frame is marked with “FJA” (Col. Frank J. Atwood) inspection and “P” proofs. The blued barrel is marked “P” on the left and “F” (Flannery) on the right side of the recoil lug. Short stamped trigger, checkered narrow hammer, thumb safety, and magazine release button, with serrated slide
stop and arched mainspring housing. Keyes Fiber Co. brown
checkered plastic grips marked “25” and “star/K” on the interior and
parkerized magazine marked “C-L” on the bottom lip. Includes a “U.S.”
embroidered and “BRAUER/-44-” marked leather holster.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% plus original parkerized finish
with smooth brown patina along the bottom and grips straps of the
frame, minor spotting, limited edge wear, a minor takedown drag line,
mostly crisp checkering, and otherwise mild handling evidence. Mechanically excellent. Holster is fine with minor cracking on the flap.

World War II U.S. General Motors Guide Lamp FP-45 Liberator
Single Shot Pistol - NSN, 45 ACP cal., 4 inch round bbl., phosphate
finish, metal grips. Conceived, developed, and manufactured in 1942,
the “Flare Pistol, .45 Caliber” (FP-45) was designed as a cheap and
disposable single shot pistol intended to be air dropped into German
controlled Europe, giving the citizens of those occupied nations a way to
express their displeasure to the occupiers and hopefully retrieve a better arm in the process. The Guide Lamp Division of General Motors was tasked to produce the pistol. The pistol is devoid of markings with two oiler holes on either side of the frame, along with a hollow grip and sliding door at the bottom for ammunition storage.
CONDITION: Very good, retaining traces of original phosphate finish with scattered minor pitting, edge wear, and handling marks along with dried grease. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,500 - 2,250

World War II U.S. Property Marked Colt Model
1903 Pocket Hammerless Semi-Automatic Pistol
- Serial no. 560462, 32 ACP cal., 3 7/8 inch round
bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1942.
Fixed blade front and notch rear sights, blued barrel marked “COLT 32
AUTO”, slide with matching serial number on the interior, “U.S. PROPERTY”
marking on the right of the frame with “13” on the trigger guard, and
“triangle VP” and “X” marked on that side of the trigger guard. Checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions and blued magazine with “CAL.32/COLT” marked on the underside of the floor plate.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish with light edge wear, thinning on the grip straps (as well as the left side slide serrations) showing some grey and brown patina, minor spotting, and overall minor
handling wear. The grips are very fine with compression
wear and minor handling marks in the otherwise defined
checkering. Mechanically excellent.

World War I U.S. Colt Model 1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 321249, 45 ACP cal., 5
inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1918, and falling within
the 316,512 to 333,292 serial range listed on
page 520 of “U.S. Military Automatic Pistols
1894-1920” by Meadows as a shipment of 16,380 pistols sent to the
ordnance office of Bush Terminal in Brooklyn, New York, on June 16, 1918,
to be sent overseas for issuance to the American Expeditionary Force
(AEF). The same page also notes a small 18 pistol shipment in the 297,102 to 322,123
range sent to the U.S. Small Arms Proving Ground in Springfield, Massachusetts, in May
of 1918, but there is no documentation connecting this pistol to that shipment. Features
fixed oval blade front and notch rear sights, blued barrel with “P” and “H” marked on top
and “5” on the bottom, long smooth trigger, checkered slide release and thumb safety,
short grip safety, wide checkered hammer, and a smooth straight mainspring housing
with a lanyard loop on the base. The slide bears the
two-line, two-block patent dates and address on
the left with the circled “rampant colt” behind the
slide serrations, along with model and U.S. Army
nomenclature on the right and “H” marked at the
top of the hammer recess. The left side of the frame
has a U.S. property marking and “eagle head/S14”
inspection mark, with serial number on the right. Fitted with a pair of diamond pattern checkered walnut grips and an unmarked two-tone magazine with pinned base.
CONDITION: Fine, retaining 60% plus original brushed blue finish with light edge wear, thinning on the grip straps, and splotches of grey to brown patina breaking through on unprotected areas of the frame and slide. Grips are exceptionally fine with mild handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750

Model H-D Semi-Automatic
Pistol - Serial no. 122377, 22 LR cal., 4 1/2 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, plastic grips. Manufactured circa 1942-1944 for the
U.S. Government. Serrated Patridge front and square notch rear sights, standard commercial
markings on the left side of the frame and slide, “PROPERTY OF U.S.A.” on top of the barrel
and “PROPERTY OF/U.S.” on the right side of the frame. Checkered spur hammer and checkered grips. CONDITION: Very fine, with 85% plus original parkerized finish, showing areas of brown patina, scuffs and minor dings overall. Heavier dents are present on the triggerguard and the frame around the barrel. Grips are fine, with scuffs and dents on the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
