dates, as well as the caliber marking at the breech, which is repeated on the bottom of the cartridge elevator. The upper tang is

rear sight, and a saddle ring on the left of the receiver. It is mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a trapdoor carbine buttplate containing an included three-piece cleaning rod.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish, 85% plus of the vibrant original case colors, and 95% of the original niter blue on the loading gate, with some light wear on some high spots, edges, and from the saddle ring. The wood is very fine with a few scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. This Winchester Model 1873 saddle ring carbine would be difficult to improve upon! Estimate: 17,000 - 27,500
