Master Angelo Bee Signed, Gold Inlaid, and Game Scene Engraved Krieghoff K-32 Over/Under Shotgun Three Barrel Set with Case - Serial no. 9884, 12 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold finish,
walnut stock. Manufactured in 1974 and subsequently masterfully upgraded to its current configuration by Master Engraver Angelo Bee. The gun has blued Bohler Laufstahl barrels featuring dual bead sights on the matted flat vent rib which is marked with a gold inlaid “12” at the base, standard factory markings,
fine ovals of scroll engraving at either side of the upper breech, a single band of gold at the upper breech, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are mated to a highly
decorated blued action which displays extensive deep cut scroll engraving over a matted background surrounding three gorgeous gold inlaid game bird scenes all encompassed by fine gold
inlaid linework. The game scenes consist of a trio of mallards taking flight from a pond on the left, a pair of
grouse in a field on the underside, and a quartet of quail on the right in flight over a field, all three scenes are cut in excellent
detail with silver accents and sit on beautifully contrasting coin finished backgrounds. There is an additional gold quail on
the triggerguard flanked by gold linework. The engraving is signed with Bee’s classic signature of “ABEE” followed by a small
bumblebee on the left side of the action at the bottom of the scene. The gun features a single selective trigger and a tang
mounted manual safety. The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured and fancy scroll carved and checkered forend with
engraved and gold inlaid shoe and a pistol grip stock with a blued steel grip cap featuring a scrollwork, a gold quail, and
gold linework, an adjustable comb, and a Kick-Eez recoil pad. Included with the gun are three extra matching numbered 28
inch vent rib barrel sets, one each in 20 gauge, 28 gauge, and .410 bore and all with gold inlaid gauge markings at the base
of the rib. Also included is a wood and leather takedown case that houses the entire set and a photocopy of a biographical
piece on Bee taken from “The American Shotgunner”. The choke constriction for the .410 bore (R/L) .003/.007 inches. Barrel
measurements for the 20 Gauge set (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .616/.618 inches; choke constriction
.004/.006 inches; minimum wall thickness .047/.046 inches. Barrel measurements for the 28 Gauge set (U/O): bore diameter
nine inches from the breech .552/.551 inches; choke constriction .004/.007 inches. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore
diameter nine inches from the breech .730/.732 inches; choke constriction .004/.006 inches; minimum wall thickness .042/.043
inches; 1 5/16 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 15 inch length of pull; slightly cast-off; weight 8 lbs. 7 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine as beautifully upgraded by Master Engraver Angelo Bee, retaining 99% blue finish with a slight rub near the muzzles, some color changing in the gold inlays, minor handling evidence, and sharp carving and checkering on the stock and forend. The barrels are slightly loose, otherwise; mechanically excellent. The extra barrels are very fine. The case is very good.
