and function through exceptional American craftsmanship and use of some of the world’s finest engravers. Built with blued steel barrels featuring
a single brass bead sight on an island base, scroll engraved rear sighting flat at the breech, “A.GALAZAN” and “CONNECTICUT SHOTGUN MFG. CO./
NB. CT. USA” marked on the left and right of the upper tube, some light scroll engraving around the breech, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are mated to a richly case colored action which displays beautifully cut English style bouquet and scroll engraving surrounding
gold inlaid “GALAZAN” banners on either side and extending to the toplever, triggerguard, and both tangs with the lower showing the serial number
inlaid in gold. The gun is signed on the triggerplate to the right of the triggerguard both “F. Lepinois” and “M. Terri” for esteemed master engravers Frederique Lepinois and Morena Terri. The gun features a single non-selective trigger, a right hand rolled triggerguard, and a tang mounted automatic safety with a gold
inlaid “S” indicator. The gun is mounted with a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved blued fittings, Anson button release, and Boss style extended shoe as well as a pistol grip stock with scalloped horn grip cap and blued and engraved heel and toe plates around the checkered butt. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .551/.551 inches; choke constriction .007/.011 inches; minimum wall thickness .029/.029 inches; 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 9/16 inch drop at heel; 14 9/16 inch length of pull; cast-on; weight 6 lbs. 1 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 97% plus original blue finish, 90% original case colored finish, a section of scratches at the left of the lower barrel near the muzzle, a scuff on top of the upper barrel, some patches of muting in the case colors, some light dings and scratches on the stock primarily on the left side, and overall crisp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. A great chance to own a fantastic American made fine
over/under shotgun!
