Factory Double Signed Engraved, and Gold
Inlaid Belgian Browning 410 Bore Midas Grade
Superposed Shotgun with Factory Letter and Box - Serial no. 582J83, 410 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish,
walnut stock. Manufactured in 1983. Single white bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard markings, wedges scroll engraving at the breech end, 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and “**”/”*” (modified/full) chokes. The blued action displays Midas Grade engraving consisting of full coverage scroll engraving on punch dot background surrounding game
bird scenes showing a trio of pheasant on the left, three mallards on the right, and a grouse on the underside. The birds
are rendered in fine semi-relief gold inlay with gold inlaid borders around the scenes on the sides of the action. The piece is signed “R. Capece” on the left side of the action at the low rear for FN Engraver Rocco Capece, and “A. Marcisz” on the right side at the lower rear. The triggerguard and tangs are engraved with matching scroll and checker board patterns and a blank initial shield at the center of the guard. Highly figured, multi-point checkered Schnabel forend with engraved fittings and a straight
grip stock with Browning buttplate. Includes a Browning factory letter listing the gun as a Midas grade in 410 bore with 28 inch barrels with modified/full chokes, narrow tapered rib, Schnabel forearm, blued receiver, and super light stock when sold on February 9, 1984 to Thomas J. Koessl inc. in Bailey’s Harbor, WI. Also included is the original box. Stock measurements: 1 3/8 inch drop at the comb, 2 1/8 inch drop at the heel, 14 5/16 inch length of pull, weight 6 lbs. 9 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 97% plus original blue finish with a couple minor handling marks, and crisp engraving and stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good.

Factory Engraved Belgian Browning Grade I Superposed Two Barrel
Continental Set with Case - Serial no. 177PM01095, 30-06 Springfield cal., 24 inch
vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1980. Blued steel barrels with
ramped beaded blade front and folding notch rear sights. The blued action displays
standard grade I engraving consisting of light floral designs making fantastic use of
the negative space. Mounted in a multipoint checkered walnut Schnabel tip forend
with Deeley release and straight grip stock with Browning buttplate. Includes a takedown case and a matching number 20 gauge barrel set with 3 inch chambers and chokes marked modified full. 20 gauge barrel set measurements: bore nine inches from the breach .619/.619 inches; choke constriction .009/.015; inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.037 inches. Stock measurements: 1 7/16 inch drop at the comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at the heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 15 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with a few minor handling marks mostly on the wood, crisp engraving, and crisp stock and forearm checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine.
