Double Barrel Shotgun with Box and Case - Serial no. 412144,
12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Built
with blued Spezial Gewehrlaufstahl barrels featuring a single brass
bead sight on the matted concave solid rib, 2 1/2 inch wedges of scroll engraving at either breech, 1981 dated German proof marks on the flats, chokes marked “1/4”/”1/2”, and 2 3/4 inch
chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the coin finished sidelock action which displays near full coverage scroll engraving and features double triggers, cocking indicators,
and a tang mounted automatic safety. The gun is fitted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a beautifully figured straight grip stock with a checkered bare butt.
Includes the original factory box and a factory wood and leather takedown case. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech proofed at 18.6/18.7mm (.732/.736 inches) and
measured .734/.734 inches; choke constriction .014/.030 inches; minimum wall thickness .028/.027 inches; 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 9/16 inch drop at heel; 14 5/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 13 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine and the case is excellent.

Detachable Sidelock Double Barrel Shotgun with Box - Serial no. 601885, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid
rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Built with blued steel chopperlump barrels featuring
a single bead sight on the smooth concave solid rib which is engraved with floral scroll and the AYA signature, 1991 dated
Spanish proof marks, chokes marked improved cylinder/modified, and 2 3/4” chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels
are fitted to the casehardened hand detachable sidelock action which displays near full coverage floral scroll engraving
surrounding “AYA AGUIRRE Y ARANZABAL” signatures on either lockplate. The gun features
double triggers (front trigger articulated), bushed firing pins, gold centerline cocking
indicators, and a tang mounted automatic safety with gold inlaid “S” indicator. The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured and multi-point
checkered forend with engraved fittings as well as a straight grip stock with teardrop carved drop points, blank silver inscription oval, and
checkered bare butt. Includes the original factory box. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech
both proofed and measured 18.4mm (.724 inches); choke constriction .010/.017 inches; minimum wall thickness .025/.028 inches; 1 1/2
inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 5/8 inch length of pull; cast-on; weight 6 lbs. 7 oz.

Merkel 16 Gauge Model 147SL Sidelock Double
Barrel Shotgun with Box and Case - Serial no. 480905, 16 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish,
walnut stock. Built with blued Krupp stahl barrels with single brass bead front sight on the matted concave
solid rib which is marked “147 SL 16 GA”, 2001 dated German proofs, chokes marked “VZ”/”1/2”, and 2 3/4 inch
chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the coin finished sidelock action which displays
scrollwork surrounding a trio of pheasants being flushed by a pointer on the left and a fox flushing a trio of
quail on the right. The engraving is signed “GR” on the left lockplate. The gun features a double triggers, bushed
firing pins, and an automatic tang mounted safety. The gun is fitted with an attractively figured and multi-point
checkered forend with engraved fittings as well as a straight grip stock with factory buttplate. Includes the original factory box as well as an aluminum takedown case. Barrel
and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proofed at 17mm (.669 inches) and measured .671/.671 inches; choke constriction .006/.019 inches; minimum wall
thickness .037/.038 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/4 inch drop at heel; 14 7/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 11 oz.
