Colt Python Elite double action revolver,
with the included factory letter confirming the “PE00001” serial number, .357
Mag/.38 Spl. chambering, 6 inch barrel, royal blue finish, and type of grips not
listed when included in a shipment of 10 revolvers to Kiesler Police Supply (COM)
in Jeffersonville, Indiana, on April 15, 1997. The Python Elite represents the point
at which the Python was transitioned from a standard production revolver to a
special order only piece crafted by the Colt Custom Shop. This move allowed the
highly desirable hand fitting, which made the earliest production Pythons legends,
to remain in tact, and gave the revolvers the smooth operation every enthusiast has come to know and love. Features
fixed orange insert ‘ramp’ blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, Colt address on the right along with the model
and caliber marking on the left of the vented barrel, two-toned spur hammer, Rampant Colt marked on the left of the
frame, along with “triangle/VP” and “G” marked on the left of the trigger guard. Fitted with a pair of over-sized laminate
finger groove grips with gold Colt medallion inserts. Includes the original Colt blue plastic case.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original deep royal blue finish with a faint cylinder drag line and
limited handling marks. Mechanically excellent. This is your opportunity to add the first Python Elite manufactured to

Excellent and Scarce Cased Colt 150th Anniversary
Double Diamond Handgun Set with Factory Letter,
Certificate, and Boxes -A) Colt Python Double Action
Revolver - Serial no. DD0666, 357 Magnum cal., 6 inch
vent rib bbl., Ultimate Stainless finish, rosewood grips.
Manufactured in 1986 as one of 1,000 special limited
addition Colt ‘Double Diamond’ paired sets of matched
Python double action revolvers and Officer’s Model semi-
automatic pistols themed after the 150th anniversary
of Colt (1936-1986), with the included factory letter
confirming the “DD” suffix and prefix serial numbers,
calibers, barrel lengths, “Ultimate Stainless” finish, and
rosewood grips of both guns in the set, along with the
included cherry wood display case when shipped to RSR
Wholesale Guns West in Sparks, Nevada on April 4, 1986.
The Python features the brilliant Colt Ultimate Stainless
finish, standard pinned blade front and fully adjustable
rear notch sights, wide borderless checkered hammer,
serrated trigger, serrated backstrap, and smooth grips
with inset silver Colt 150th anniversary medallions.
Includes the aforementioned display case fitted for both guns in the set, and matching Colt 150th
anniversary box and a Colt Custom Shop certificate.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, with a faint cylinder drag line and limited minor handling marks.
Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine. The box is fine.
B) Colt Officer’s ACP Model Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 0666DD, 45 ACP cal., 3 5/8 inch round
bbl., Ultimate Stainless finish, rosewood grips. Features the brilliant Colt Ultimate Stainless finish, fixed blade
and notch sights, serrated ring hammer, short milled serrated trigger, flat serrated mainspring housing, and
smooth grips with inset silver Colt 150th anniversary medallions. Cased with “A”. Includes the original box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, with some dried grease on the matted top of the slide and limited handling
marks. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine.

Three Revolver Set with Book and Boxes -A) Colt Black
Powder Series Dragoon Percussion Revolver with Accessories
- Serial no. 1381DG, 44 cal., 7 1/2 inch part octagon bbl., blue/
casehardened/silver finish, rosewood grips. Manufactured in 1976
to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the United States of
America. Standard markings and features. Three drawer walnut
presentation case shared with “B” and “C”, powder flask, bullet mold,
cap tin, nipple wrench, and a leather bound copy of “Armsmear: the
Home, the Arm, and the Armory of Samuel Colt”.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retains 99% plus original finishes
with only the slightest handling marks and a very small chip near
the right grip toe. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good
with some minor staining, a couple cracks, and some minor chips/
handling marks. The book cover shows some minor handling/
storage marks. B) Colt Single Action Army Bicentennial
Revolver - Serial no. 1381PM, 45 LC cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl.,
blue/casehardened finish, rosewood grips. Manufactured in 1976
to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the United States with
standard commemorative markings and features. In a shared case
with the “A” and “C” guns of this lot.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 99% plus original finishes with only
the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
C) Colt Python U.S. Bicentennial Double Action Revolver -
Serial no. 1381PY, 357 magnum cal., 6 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish,
rosewood grips. Manufactured in 1976 to commemorate the 200th
anniversary of the United States with standard markings of this
commemorative. In case with “A” and “B” and includes hanging tag.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 99% plus original blue finish with only
the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
