Excellent Winchester Model 61 Slide Action
Rifle in Very Scarce .22 Short with Octagon Barrel - Serial no.
75578, 22 RF Short cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock.
Manufactured in 1947. Beaded blade front and elevation adjustable
rear notch sights,
first style barrel
inscription, Winchester “WP” proofs
on the barrel and receiver at the breech,
matching numbers on the receiver and trigger guard assembly, smooth
round top receiver, smooth trigger, serrated hammer catch, and correct
un-drilled upper tang. 17 groove slide handle and smooth pistol grip stock
with checkered blue steel buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent with 97% plus bright original blue finish, mild slide retraction wear on
the barrel flats, and light handling marks. The wood is also excellent with just a few small dings.
Mechanically excellent.

Very Fine Documented Winchester Deluxe Model 1890
Slide Action Rifle in .22 Long with Factory Letter - Serial no.
255063, 22 L cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, highly figured
checkered walnut pistol grip stock. The included factory letter
confirms the serial number, caliber, checkered pistol grip
stock, received in warehouse on September
12, 1905 and shipped on September 16. Lyman beaded blade
front and elevation adjustable rear notch sights, third style
barrel inscription, “22 LONG.” caliber marking on upper barrel flat at the breech, Second
Model receiver with hidden locking lugs, checkered casehardened hammer, standard
markings on the upper tang, and matching serial numbers on the lower tang and receiver.
Left side of lower tang stamped “21784”, “XX” which corresponds to number “90” over “21784”
under the buttplate on the wood. Fancy figured 12 groove slide handle and checkered pistol grip stock with
Winchester hard rubber grip cap, and casehardened steel crescent buttplate.
CONDITION: Very fine with 85% plus bright original high polish blue finish, areas of edge wear, well defined markings, scattered light spotting,
cycling marks on the receiver rails and slide bar, and mixed brown patina and light surface oxidation visible on the trigger guard. The wood is very fine with attractive figure, well
defined checkering, small dings and scratches, and most of the vivid original case colors visible on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
