The lower receiver has the “COLT/M16/LMG”
nomenclature above the caliber and serial
number on the left side of the magazine
well, Colt address between the bolt catch
and sear pin, extended bolt catch that can be
disengaged by hitting the magazine catch,
right handed selector switch with “SAFE” and
“FIRE” markings, checkered pistol grip and
a fixed buttstock with checkered trapdoor
buttplate. Internally, the weapon is configured
for open bolt full auto only operation; in
contrast to standard M16/AR15 design, the
bolt carrier and hammer are configured to
hold the bolt back in the open position when
the trigger is released, and a compound
hinged auto sear allows the hammer to retract
slightly when the trigger is pulled, releasing
the bolt but not dropping the hammer until
the bolt is fully in battery, and an additional
hydraulic recoil mechanism is integrated into
the buffer mechanism.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% plus original
matte gray phosphate finish, showing
minor wear and handling marks overall,
including some minor wear on the furniture.
Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a
National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable
Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau
of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives,
(BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C.
Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
