Documented Antique Parker Brothers 10 Gauge Grade 0 Double Barrel Hammer Shotgun - Serial no. 47322, 10 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/
casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1886. Twist steel barrels with single steel bead sight on the smooth concave solid rib marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN
CONN. TWIST”, 2 7/8 inch chambers with single extractor, and choke constriction measured .036/.031 inches. The casehardened top action features “PARKER BROS.” on either side as well
as double triggers and rebounding hammers. Lightly figured splinter forend with Deeley latch and pistol grip stock with blank inscription shield in the wrist. The above configuration is confirmed on
page 199 of “Parker Gun Identification & Serialization” by Price and Fjestad. Stock measurements: 2 inch drop at comb; 3 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs 15 oz.
CONDITION: Very good, retaining 40% case colors and showing a mix of brown and grey patina on the barrels with some spots of cleaned oxidation. The revarnished wood is very good with some dings and
scratches and well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Remington Model 1889 Grade 1 Double Barrel 10 Gauge Hammer Shotgun - Serial no. 66045, 10 gauge, 32 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened
finish, walnut stock. The Model 1889 shotguns were introduced in 1889 and were discontinued in 1908. Remington indicates that approximately 135,000 were manufactured in Grades
1 through 7. This Grade 1 example has blued steel barrels with single steel bead front sight on the matted solid rib which is marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION N.Y. U.S.A.”, 2 7/8 inch
chambers with single extractor, and chokes measured at full/full. The receiver, locks, and hammers are casehardened. The locks are both marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO.” in block letters. Double triggers
and rebounding hammers. Multi-point checkered, walnut forend with Deeley style latch and round knob pistol grip stock with hard rubber Remington buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 7/8 inch drop at comb; 3
inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 9 lbs 11 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine as professionally refinished, retaining 98% blue finish and 90% plus casehardening with some light handling evidence, and a few subsurface blemishes on the barrels. The wood is very good with some
scattered scratches, a few pressure marks, minor varnish flaking, a chip behind the right hammer, and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Factory Engraved Parker Brothers DH Grade Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 90198, 12 gauge, 30 inch solid rib
bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1898 as one of just 4,200 gun built in this configuration per
Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote on page 291 of “The Parker Story”. Built with Damascus steel barrels featuring dual white bead
sights on the matted concave solid rib marked “PARKER BROS. MAKER. MERIDEN. CONN. DAMASCUS STEEL”, choke constrictions of .022/.020 inches,
and chambers measured 2 5/8 inches with single extractor. The barrels are fitted to the casehardened size 2 frame boxlock action which displays classic DH
Grade engraving consisting of floral scroll work surrounding a trio of game scenes consisting of a setter on the right, a covey of pheasants on the underside, and a
pointer on the left. The gun features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety. The gun is fitted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered forend
with engraved forend iron as well as a pistol grip stock with carved drop points, blank silver inscription oval, and hard rubber grip cap and dog’s head buttplate. The configuration is confirmed on
page 303 of “Parker Gun Identification & Serialization” by Price and Fjestad, aside from the extra barrel shipped with the gun, which is not included. Stock measurements: 1 3/4 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at
heel; 13 7/8 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 6 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine as professionally refurbished, showing nearly all of the blue finish on the barrel with attractive Damascus patterns, some thinning on the lower tang, and protective varnish over the strong traces of original
case colors. There are some small cracks to the right of the lower tang and a small crack behind the top tang; otherwise, the wood is very fine with a few marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1897 as one of 17,115 built
in this configuration according to page 279 of “The Parker Story” by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote. Built with a single
bead sight on the matted concave solid rib which is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CONN. DAMASCUS STEEL”, choke
constrictions of .023/.035 inches, and chambers measured 2 5/8 inches with extractor. The barrels are fitted to the casehardened size 1 1/2 frame
boxlock action which features GH pattern engraving consisting of oval game bird scenes on the left, right, and underside surrounded by light scrollwork
and line borders. The gun features double triggers and tang mounted manual safety. The gun is fitted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered forend
with engraved forend iron and a pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap, blank silver inscription shield, and a non-factory leather covered recoil pad. The configuration is confirmed on page 291 of “Parker Gun
Identification & Serialization” by Price and Fjestad. Stock measurements: 1 15/16 inch drop at comb; 3 3/16 inch drop at heel; 13 3/4 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 8 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine, strong Damascus patterns on the barrels, reapplied blue finish on the triggerguard, 50% original case colors on the action, and some handling evidence. The freshened wood is very good
with some dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Factory Engraved Parker Brothers 10 Gauge Quality 3 Double Barrel
Hammer Shotgun - Serial no. 53759, 10 gauge, 32 inch solid rib bbl., blue/
casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1885 as one of only 385 guns built in
this configuration according to page 290 of “The Parker Story” by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and
Cote. Built with Damascus steel barrels featuring a single bead sight on the matted concave solid rib which is marked “PARKER BROS MAKERS. MERIDEN
CONN. DAMASCUS STEEL.”, 1991 dated Birmingham proof marks, choke constrictions of .021/.042 inches, and 3 1/2 inch chambers with single extractor.
The casehardened action displays sculpted fences along with standard Grade 3 engraving consisting of a setter in a field on the right, a pointer pointing on the
left, and a trio of birds on the underside all surrounded by scrollwork. The gun features double triggers and rebounding hammers. The gun is fitted with a nicely figured and multi-point
checkered splinter forend with engraved forend iron as well as a pistol grip stock with blank inscription shield, hard rubber grip cap, and skeleton buttplate around checkered bare butt.
This gun has sold previously with a Parker letter stating “Parker shotgun, serial number 53759, was ordered by F.H. Wells in Burlington, VT on October 1, 1889. According to Parker Bros.
Order Book No.26 it was a quality 3 Top Action hammer, 10-gauge. It featured Damascus steel barrels with a length of 32 inches.” Wells was a successful pharmaceutical manufacturer in the
Burlington, VT, area. The letter is not included. Stock measurements: 1 13/16 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 9 lbs 14 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining nearly all of the reapplied blue/brown finishes, strong traces of original case colors on the action, some pitting on the triggerguard beneath the finish, and strong Damascus patterns. There are small
cracks at the rear of the lockplates and upper tang; otherwise, the wood is also very fine with some dings and well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
