Ramo Model 1919A4 Browning Machine Gun, Class III/NFA Fully
Transferable, with Tripod and Accessories - Serial no. 600198,
30 cal., 24 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, plastic grips. One of
the descendants of the famous Browning 1917 machine gun, the
Model 1919 discards the heavy water jacket in favor of an air cooling
arrangement, increasing the mobility of the weapon, and variants of
the Model 1919 would be American military mainstays in multiple roles
for decades. Folding blade front and ladder rear sights, with the Ramo
address, serial number and model markings on the right side plate,
ventilated barrel heat shield, swiveling carry handle, a pair of smooth
plastic “spade” grips and a smooth “butterfly” thumb trigger on the rear.
Parts are from multiple sources. Included with the lot are a brass and
steel tripod with integral T&E mechanism, a mountable combination belt
holder/link catcher/brass deflector, a large quantity of disintegrating
links, some blank ammunition, six canvas belts, two hardwood ammo
boxes, two metal ammo boxes, extra barrel, two canvas barrel cases,
multi-tool, assorted manuals/papers, and two loading tools.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 95% plus original parkerized finish, showing
mild wear concentrated at the mounting points, shallow pitting on
some components, and light handling marks. The grips are very fine,
with light scratches. Mechanically excellent. The accessories are fair or
better overall, a mix of vintage and later production items, with wear
appropriate to age. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA),
fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18
U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
