Knight’s Manufacturing Co. SR-25 APR Semi-Automatic Rifle
with Desirable AN/PVS-30 Night Vision Scope, Trigger Point
TRAMS System, Scope, Case, and Accessories - Serial no. KM121736,
7.62x51mm NATO (308) cal., 20 inch round bbl., black anodized finish,
synthetic stock. Manufactured c. 2015. Designed in collaboration between
C. Reed Knight, Jr. and Eugene Stoner (inventor of the AR-10 and AR-15)
in the early 1990s, this is an example of a Titusville, Florida, produced
Knight’s Manufacturing Co. (also known as Knight’s Armament Co.) SR-25
semi-automatic rifle with a multitude of the most desirable attachments,
including optics and modern electronic technology for day or night use. It
is equipped with a one-of-a-kind Trigger Point Technology TRAMS system
(Tactical Rail Accessory Management System) to control operation of the
mounted accessories. The TRAMS allows trigger finger activation of any
selected light, laser, or combination by engaging the trigger or by pushing
the button the trigger finger is close to. All of the attached accessories on
this rifle, besides the night vision sight, are controlled by the TRAMS system
and functional with the engagement of the integrated button in the
Geissele Super Select Fire Trigger (functions properly when the hammer
is cocked), reportedly specially modified by the Geissele factory for this
firearm. While used in some military applications, the TRAMS system was
originally designed for a 5.56 mm NATO size magazine well, and it should
be pointed out that the TRAMS system on this rifle is reportedly the only
production prototype unit, designed specifically for the larger SR-25. The
top rail of the upper is fitted with a Steiner M5Xi 5-25x56mm day scope
with Horus Tremor type 3 reticle in a LaRue OBR QD mount, and ahead of
that on top of the quad rail is a desirable Knight’s Armament Company
AN/PVS-30 Generation 3 UNS LRLP A1 (Universal Night Sight Long-Range)
clip-on night vision sight (these night vision sights are extremely hard to
acquire!), with a tan Steiner DBAL-D2 (Dual Beam Aiming Laser) mounted
on the right side, and a Steiner Mk4 battle light on the left side. This rifle
has no iron sight provisions, featuring a 20 inch barrel and free-floating
URX4 quad rail RAS forend (slightly different than standard). The lower
receiver bears the Knight’s Mfg. Co. logo, “STONER/RIFLE” and serial number
on the left of the magazine well, with the model and Titusville, Florida,
manufacturer address on the right of the magazine well. Fitted with an
Ambidextrous safety selector, Harris SLM bipod with telescoping legs on a
quick detachable RBA-1 adapter, QD sockets for sling mounting, A2 pattern
checkered polymer pistol grip, and 9-position collapsible shoulder stock
with additional QD socket at rear. Also includes a black Pelican hard case,
a pair of lens caps, canvas scope case, cleaning tools, manual, and factory
100 yard test target dated October 2, 2015.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 99% original black anodized finish. Furniture
is also excellent. Mechanically excellent. Day scope is excellent, with crisp
clear optics. Night vision scope and electronic attachments including the
TRAMS system all mechanically function. This Knight’s SR-25 rifle has all the
accessories one could ever want, and is the ultimate package for a
KAC collector!
