Engraved Aaron Little/W. R. Leeson Boxlock Double Rifle in .500 Linebaugh - Serial no.
2014, 500 Linebaugh cal., 22 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Originally
manufactured in the early 20th century and expertly converted to a double rifle by Aaron Little in
the 21st century. The rifle features blued barrels with a beaded blade fore sight, fixed
rear sight on the rear quarter rib which is marked “A. M. LITTLE BESPOKE GUNMAKER
MINEOLA, TX.”, “500 LINEBAUGH” near the left breech, and chambers with ejectors.
The barrels are fitted to the casehardened boxlock action which features attractive
scroll engraving, maker signatures on either side, double triggers, bushed firing pins, and
a tang mounted automatic safety with gold inlaid safe indicator. The rifle is fitted with a nicely figured and multi-point
checkered forend with engraved iron and an Anson button
release as well as a straight hand stock with monogram in the
inscription oval and a Silver’s style recoil pad. Length of pull
13 7/8 inches. Weight 6 lbs. 10 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine as built by Aaron Little, retaining 95% blue finish,
fine silver patina on the action, light handling evidence, and crisp
checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.

Factory Engraved Westley Richards “Deeley & Edge Patent”
Sidelever Falling Block Single Shot Rook Rifle - Serial no. 1587, 250 cal., 27 inch round
bbl., black/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in the late 19th century. Built
with a blacked barrel featuring a bead blade fore sight and three-leaf
(one standing, two folding) rear sight on the matted full length sighting
flat which is signed “WESTLEY RICHARDS. & Co. LONDON” as well as
“WESTLEY RICHARDS’ DETACHABLE BARREL.”, Birmingham proof marks,
“METFORD RIFLING” marked on the left of the barrel along with “FOR .250 CARTRIDGE”, and
the serial number. The barrel is fitted to the casehardened Deeley & Edge 1881 patent falling block
action which displays extensive floral scroll engraving around “WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co/LONDON” on the left side
and “DEELEY-EDGE/PATENT” on the right before extending to the sidelever, trigger guard, and both tangs. The rifle is fitted
with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered forend with horn tip and engraved iron as well as semi-pistol grip stock
with serrated bare butt. Includes a set of .297-250 Rook reloading dies and approximately one hundred .22 Hornet
brass casings.
CONDITION: Fine as refinished, retaining 80% black finish, some small areas of pitting, strong traces of case colors with the balance an attractive silver patina,
some dings and scratches on the wood, small crack at the left rear of the forend, and mostly crisp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.

Junior Army & Navy Store Back Action Hammer Double Rifle .577 Black Powder Express -
Serial no. 7352, 577 BPE cal., 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured
near the end of the 19th century, likely by Rodda, for the Junior Army & Navy Store, a network of members
only stores that traded in gentleman’s good in England and abroad. Built with blued steel barrels featuring a
beaded blade fore sight and a three-leaf (one standing, two folding) express rear sight regulated for 100, 200, and 300 yards
on the matted solid rib which is signed “JUNIOR ARMY & NAVY S. Ltd. YORK HOUSE. LONDON.”, London proof marks on the flats,
front sling eye, and chambers with a single extractor. The barrels are fitted to the casehardened Jones Underlever rebounding hammer fired backaction which
is marked “160 Grs. No. 6 POWDER 520 Grs. BULLET” and “577 EXPRESS 2 3/4 IN SOLID CASE” on the left and right respectively as well as “J A & N. S Ltd.” on either lockplate. The rifle is
fitted with a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with horn grip cap, rear sling eye, blank inscription oval, and a rubber recoil pad. Includes a period leather
flat case with reproduction interior labels, a set of .577-2 3/4 reloading dies, 20 empty cartridge case, 20 patched bullets, and a bullet mold. Length of pull 14 5/8 inches. Weight 10 lbs. 8 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine as professionally restored, retaining 98% blue and casehardened finishes with some minor pitting, light handling evidence, minor spotting, and crisp checkering on the stock
and forend. Mechanically excellent. The case is good.
