Excellent World War II “Eagle/C”
German Police Proofed J.P. Sauer &
Sohn Model 38H Semi-Automatic
Pistol with Holster - Serial no. 317967,
7.65 mm auto cal., 3 3/8 inch round bbl., blue
finish, plastic grips. Manufactured c. 1938-1945,
with this example displaying the high-polish
blue finish found only on earlier production
examples. Features fixed blade front and
dovetailed notch rear sights on a matted rib, the
one-line manufacturer and caliber markings on
the left of the slide with a patent mark on the
right side, the serial number and an “eagle/N”
proof on the right of the frame, and an “eagle/
(swastika) C” German police proof on the left
side of the trigger guard. Fitted with a pair of
black checkered grips (the left with the “SuS”
monogram) and a full blued magazine with the
“SuS” monogram on the base plate. Includes a
black leather flap holster with a faint ink printed
manufacturer’s marking on the inside of the flap.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% original
blue finish with some limited light holster pattern
edge wear, some plum coloration on the frame and slide, plus light cycling wear, minor handling
marks, and clear markings. The grips are also excellent with mostly crisp checkering. Mechanically
excellent. The holster is very fine.

Collection of Five World War II German Cuff Titles - 1) “Reichsfuhrer-SS” cuff title, off-white lettering and
borders on black cloth. 2) “Grossdeutschland” cuff title, off-white script lettering and silver borders on black cloth.
3) “Fuhrerhauptquartier” (Fuehrer Headquarters) cuff title, silver script lettering and silver borders on black cloth.
4) “General Goring” cuff title, off-white lettering and border on dark blue cloth. 5) “Hermann Goring” cuff title, of
white lettering on blue cloth. The Goering cuffs are formerly of the George Petersen collection, and can be seen
on pages 141 and 142 of “German Military Cuffbands 1784-Present” by Williamson and McGuirl.
CONDITION: Very good overall, with light wear and handling marks.

Scarce Late World
War II German Walther “ac 45” Code Zero
Series P.38 Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no.
026559, 9 mm Luger cal., 4 7/8 inch round bbl., blue
finish, plastic grips. Manufactured in 1945, the late war
“Zero Series” P.38 pistols were made using a combination
of commercial components and other found/redirected
parts, with an estimated production total of less than 2,000
as described on page 189 of Warren H. Buxton’s “The P.38 Pistol:
Volume Two”. Features fixed blade front and notch rear sights, “ac 45” production
code on the left side of slide with “eagle/swastika” and “eagle/359” proofs on the right,
along with an additional “eagle/359” proof present on the locking block. Matching
serial numbers found on the barrel, upper right side of the slide, and frame, with a
matching “559” partial on the locking block. Fitted with a pair of ribbed Bakelite grips
marked “P/1529” on the interiors along with an “eagle/359” proofed and “P.38v” marked
blued magazine with an un-numbered base. This pistol’s serial number is exactly 100
digits off from another late war “Zero Series” P.38 pistol in this auction, serial number
“026659”, in Lot 3428.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% original blue finish with
limited minor edge wear, a few scattered minor patches of surface
oxidation visible mostly on the slide, some minor faint patches of
ghosting on the frame, and some minor handling marks. The grips
are also excellent with limited minor handling wear and attractive
composite patterning. Mechanically excellent.

Holster - Serial no. 6021z, 9 mm
Luger cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue
finish, plastic grips. Manufactured in
1941, featuring fixed blade front and
notch rear sights, a “41” date code on
top of the chamber, the Mauser “byf”
factory code on the front toggle link,
two “eagle/655” proofs on the right of
the extension, “eagle/swastika” firing
proofs on the extension, barrel, and
breech block, along with a “P.08” model
marking on the left side of the frame.
Matching visible serial numbers on the
frame, barrel, and extension, along with
matching “21” partial serial numbers
on small parts. Fitted with a
pair of black checkered grips
along with an “fxo” code,
“eagle/37” proofed, and “P.08”
marked blued magazine
with unmarked plastic base. Includes
a “bdq.41” code, “eagle/swastika/WaA170”
proofed, and “P.08” marked Ehrhardt und Kirsten, Leipzig, manufactured
black pigskin flap holster with an “eagle/655” proofed takedown tool and an
extra “fxo” code, “eagle/37” proofed, and “P.08” marked blued magazine with
unmarked plastic base
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% original blue finish with some minor
edge wear, some brown coloration to the barrel and frame, plum coloration
to the ejector, a few light nicks and scratches, and clear stamps. The grips
are also excellent with mostly crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The
desirable pigskin holster is exceptionally fine.
