Factory Game Scene Engraved and Gold Inlaid Krieghoff Neptune Primus
Hand Detachable Sidelock Drilling with Zeiss Scope and Case - Serial no. 75134,
16/7x65R gauge, 25 inch solid rib bbl., blue/
coin/gold finish, walnut stock. Manufactured
in 1975. Blued Bohler Antinit steel barrels
with blade front sight, automatic flip up
rear sight, and German claw scope mounts
(which hold a Zeiss Diavari-Z 1.5-6x42
scope) on the matted solid rib, dual gold
band at either shotgun muzzle, engraving
on the scope mounts, rifle barrel marked
with the caliber “7X65R”, and 70 mm (2
3/4 inch) chambers with extractors on
the shotgun barrels. The coin finished
hand detachable sidelock action displays floral scroll
engraving surrounding game scenes on either side as well as “KRIEGHOFF/NEPTUNE PRIMUS”
on the underside. The left game scene shows a roaring red stag with four hinds in a forest/field scene,
and the right side has a roebuck and two does in a forest scene. The gun features dual gold triggers, cocking indicators for the shotgun barrels, manual
cocking piece for the rifle barrel, and manual safety switch. Beautifully figured, skip-line checkered French walnut forend with engraved fittings, including
the Deeley latch release, and pistol grip stock with raised cheek piece and polymer grip cap and buttplate with white-line spacers. Includes a leather bound
takedown case, importation paperwork, nickel oiler, and leather sling. Barrel and stock measurements for the shotgun barrels (R/L): bore diameter nine inches
from the breech .668/.666 inches; choke constriction .035/.030 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.036 inches; 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 3/4 inch drop at heel; 14
3/8 inch length of pull; weight 9 lbs. 4 oz. scope included.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically
excellent. The case is very fine with light storage/use evidence. The scope optics are sharp.

Factory Relief Game Scene Engraved Gunter Retz Luxus
Drilling with Zeiss Scope - Serial no. 1730, 20/222 Rem/30-
06 gauge, 25 9/16 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened/
brushed bright finish, walnut stock. Built with blued steel barrels in the Bockdrilling configuration featuring a beaded blade
foresight, a flip-up rear sight, and a set of German claw mounts holding a Zeiss Diavari-ZM 2.5-10x48 mm T* scope in an engraved front ring,
all on the matted flat solid rib, front sling swivel, 1994 dated German proof marks, engraving at the muzzle, engraving at the breech depicting a pair of mallards in flight
on the right and a pair of fighting rams on the left all surrounded by oak leaves. The barrels are fitted to the casehardened bolstered hand detachable sidelock action
with double Kersten crossbolts which is mostly brushed bright with attractive patches of the colors popping through. The action displays beautifully relief engraved
game scenes as well as a gold inlaid “BB” on the blued toplever all surrounded by classic oak leaf engraving. The scenes depict a red stag, three hinds, and a pheasant cock
on the left, a pair of boars being run by a pointer on the right, a calling capercaillie on the underside, and a prowling fox on the blued trigger guard. The gun features dual triggers
(front is single set), cocking indicators, and tang mounted manual safety. The gun is fitted with an attractively figured and multi-point skip-line checkered two-piece forend with engraved iron and a
pistol grip stock with a silver roe buck bust on the horn grip cap, raised cheekpiece, rear sling swivel, and a Pachmayr recoil pad. Length of pull 14 1/2 inches. Weight 11 lbs. 1 oz. (with scope).
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened/brushed bright finishes, minor handling evidence, small rub at the muzzle, a few pressure marks on the stock, and sharp
checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.
