Factory Engraved Marlin Model 21 Grade C
Slide Action Shotgun - Serial no. 66976, 12 gauge, 28
inch round bbl., blue finish, deluxe checkered walnut
stock. These Model 21 shotguns were only cataloged
in 1907 and 1908. The blued replacement barrel
features a single bead sight, “68688F” marked
on the bottom, standard markings
with the “SPECIAL SMOKELESS
STEEL.” marking on the left, choke
constriction of .041 inches, and a
2 5/8 inch chamber. The barrel
is fitted to the blued takedown receiver which
displays attractive scroll engraving surrounding a quartet of mallards taking flight on the
left side and a pair of pigeons on the exposed bolt on the right. The gun is fitted with a beautifully
figured and multi-point checkered slide handle and semi-pistol grip stock with factory hard
rubber buttplate. Includes a factory hang tag with crossed out model marking and “MODEL 21”
ink stamps. Length of pull 13 1/2 inches. Weight 7 lbs. 4 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 70% original blue finish with some loss on the underside and
magazine tube, mild handling evidence, some light spotting, and crisp checkering on the very
fine highly figured stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.

Scarce Factory Engraved Remington
Model 12 Slide Action Rifle - Serial no. 107726, 22 S L LR
cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, highly figured checkered
walnut stock. Manufactured in 1912. This highly attractive rifle was
built with a blued steel octagon barrel, a dovetailed blade front sight, elevation
adjustable rear sight, and standard factory markings. The blued action displays
highly attractive factory grade “D” scroll engraving encompassed by zig-zag borders
all surrounding a pair of well-executed oval squirrel and rabbit game scenes. The
game scenes depict two rabbits, one running, one sitting, on the left side in a field
scene, and the right has a scene showing a squirrel on a tree branch in a smaller
scene behind the ejection port. The rifle is fitted with a beautifully figured ten-
groove slide handle and multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with horn grip cap,
blank gold inscription oval, and a blued steel smooth buttplate.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 80% plus original blue finish with light handling evidence, a few scattered freckles of spotting, a few patches
of brown patina, and distinct engraving. The buttplate is refinished. The wood is refinished with crisp checkering on the wrist. Mechanically excellent.

Desirable Remington-UMC/Lynn Bogue Hunt Factory Advertising Tri-Fold Counter Display Stand - Measuring
approximately 35 inches tall and 51 inches wide. The right and left panels feature game scenes and ammunition, the
left featuring a mix of game birds, a large 12 gauge Nitro Club shell, and a box of Nitro Express shells, the right a mix
of land animals ranging from rabbit to moose, a large 30-06 cartridge, and boxes of 22 LR and 30-30 ammo. The center
panel is patterned after a log cabin, with an open doorway showing a Lynn Bogue Hunt scene of an old man cleaning a
Remington shotgun next to crates of Heavy Duck Load and Quail Load shells while a hunting dog sits attentively, with the
Remington-UMC logo above the door and “Old Boy! We have the winning combination for tomorrow” below.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, with a few areas of loose/torn material and some creasing at the folds. A faint pencil
marking, which appears to be “Watson”, has been added to the central scene, but is mostly concealed by the framing.
Strong color and detail present on all scenes. The ultimate early 20th century Remington firearms advertising by one of
the most famous artists of the time!
