Action Short Rifle - Serial no. 140809, 470 Turnbull cal., 18
inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Built
on a Marlin style action with vivid Turnbull casehardening. Barrel
marked “Turnbull Mfg. Co./Bloomfield, NY U.S.A”. Hooded ramp and
elevation adjustable sights, sling swivel studs and straight grip stock with multi-
point checkering and solid Pachmayr Old English recoil pad.
CONDITION: Excellent overall as upgraded to its current configuration by
Turnbull Mfg. Co, with 99% of the blue finish and vibrant case colors remaining,
showing only the lightest handling marks overall and crisp checkering.

Attractive Turnbull Upgraded Winchester Deluxe
Model 1886 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine in
.45-90 W.C.F. with Letter - Serial no. 135142, 45-90 WCF
cal., 21 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut
stock. Originally manufactured in 1904, this Winchester Model 1886
was attractively, professionally restored and upgraded in 2010 by Turnbull
Restoration, as confirmed by the included letter. This carbine is an fantastic example of combining preservation,
tradition, and personalized upgrades, making for a carbine that is can be both a practical tool as well as a
treasured family heirloom. The casehardened receiver has been stamped with
the “WRACo” monogram on the left the receiver, similar to those seen on the actions of the Winchester Model
1887 shotguns, and the top of the receiver ring has the American eagle crest, similar to those seen on American
eagle Lugers. The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line address and the caliber marking at the breech,
while the two-line nickel steel marking is on the left. The upper tang has the three-line model and trademark
information, while the lower tang has the two-line patent dates and the serial number. It is fitted with a Lyman
patter No. 5-I combination front sight, a folding ladder rear sight, a 2/3 length magazine tube, and a saddle ring on
the left of the receiver. The finely figured, upgraded wood has multi-point checkering on the grip areas of the forearm
and pistol grip stock, a shadowline cheekpiece on the left, and a checkered hard rubber shotgun buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98% plus of the blue finish with some faint thinning on the takedown collar and 99% plus of the vibrant case
colors with crisp markings overall. The wood is also excellent with a few scattered very light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically
excellent. A beautiful, Turnbull Winchester Model 1886 in the desirable .45-90 W.C.F. that is ready to become a treasured family heirloom for generations!
