Edward C. Prudhomme Signed, Master Engraved, and Gold
Inlaid Weatherby Mark V Bolt Action Rifle with Scope - Serial
no. P34311, 300 WBY magnum cal., 24 inch round ported bbl., blue/
gold finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1969 and subsequently
wonderfully embellished by Master Engraver Edward Prudhomme.
The rifle was built with no sights on the blued barrel as well as a 2 inch
wedge of scroll engraving with gold inlaid accents. The barrel is fitted
to the blued action which displays near full coverage scroll engraving which extends to the bolt. The
action is mounted with a Weatherby Variable 2 3/4-10x scope in a set of Conetrol rings/bases. The
bottom metal displays more of the attractive scroll engraving which surrounds a relief gold inlaid
bugling elk on the floorplate and a gold grizzly bear on the trigger guard. The floorplate is signed
“E.C.P.” as well as E. C. PRUDHOMME”. The rifle is fitted with a beautifully figured pistol grip stock with
fancy carving in the tightly checkered panels, rosewood forend tip and grip cap with double spacers,
raised cheekpiece, provisions for sling swivels, and a Pachmayr White-Line recoil pad. Included with
the lot is a copy of Prudhomme’s book “Gun Engraving Review”.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 99% blue and gold finishes with minor handling evidence, some
plum hue on the action, and sharp checkering on the stock. Mechanically excellent. The scope has
clear optics and a crisp reticle.

Attractive Roger Kehr Engraved C. Worthing Safari Club International
Custom DWM Model 98 Bolt Action Rifle Signed by Famous Wildlife Artist John Banovich
with Scope - NSN, 338 Win magnum cal., 26 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. This beautiful
custom rifle is built on a DWM Argentine contract 1909 action, bearing the standard two line DWM address on the left as well as
profuse masterfully executed floral scroll engraving. The barrel is marked “C. WORTHING/GUNMAKER” on the right at the breech, “338 MAGNUM/WINCHESTER” on the left at the breech, and was
made without provision for sights. The front of the magazine and trigger guard is signed “KEHR” for engraver Roger Kehr. The floorplate features an engraved grizzly bear scene which is attributed as
modelled after a drawing by the famous wildlife artist John Banovich, who has signed the stock of the rifle in marker near the floorplate. Scope bases and rings with matching floral scroll engraving are
fitted to the receiver. It is mounted with a very finely figured fleur-de-lis pattern checkered pistol grip stock with contrasting forend, elevated sling swivel studs, engraved skeleton grip cap, shadowline
cheekpiece, and leather wrapped solid recoil pad. Includes a Leupold Vari-X III 1.75-6x32 scope.
CONDITION: Very fine overall as professionally upgraded by C. Worthing, retaining 99% blue finish with only the slightest handling marks and crisp engraving. The wood shows minimal handling
evidence and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The optics are clear.
