Factory W. Heym Signed, Game Scene Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Krieghoff Model K80 Crown Grade Over/Under Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 115800, 12 gauge, 32 inch vent rib ported bbl., blue/coin/gold finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 2019. Blued steel barrels with dual bead sights on the matted vent rib, standard Krieghoff markings, German proofs, interchangeable chokes (light modified/light modified installed), and 76 mm (3 inch) chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin finished action displays beautiful scroll engraving surrounding a pair of gold inlaid game scenes as well as a gold crown over “KRIEGHOFF/K-80/GERMANY/EST. 1886” in gold on the underside all bordered by gold lines. The engraving extends to the triggerguard, top latch, upper tang, and toplever, which also bears a gold inlaid crown. The gold game scenes consist of a pointer flushing three mallards on the left side in a marsh scene and the same pointer flushing another trio on the right side. The gun is signed “W. Heym” near the triggerguard. The gun features a gold single selective trigger and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Highly figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings, including the Deeley style release, and pistol grip stock with right hand palm swell, adjustable comb, and Kick-Eez recoil pad. Includes a Krieghoff takedown case. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 18.6 mm (.732 inches) and measured at .734/.733 inches; minimum wall thickness .040/.043 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs 14 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue, coin, and gold finishes with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent.
