SWD/Polytech AKS-223 Automatic Rifle, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun with Matching Bayonet - Serial no. PF85-000558, 5.56x45 mm cal., 16 1/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, metal stock, hardwood grips. Originally manufactured in China by Polytech and imported by Keng’s Firearm Specialty of Atlanta, Georgia, as a semi-automatic rifle, this AKS was upgraded by SWD of Atlanta to a select fire assault rifle. Hooded post and tangent rear sights, with a threaded muzzle. The original model and caliber markings are marked on the left of the receiver, with the trunnion bearing the “Factory 416” triangle logo on the left side, the KFS address on the underside ahead of the magazine well, and the SWD address alongside the trigger. The block post on the right side of the receiver has been altered and a new safety lever position cut, restoring the traditional AK “safe/full/semi” functionality to the selector. Matching numbers are present on the dust cover, recoil spring guide, bolt carrier, bolt, and gas cylinder. Fitted with a smooth hardwood forearm and pistol grip, and a folding metal buttstock. Includes matching serial numbered shipping box, matching serial numbered bayonet, green canvas sling, oil bottle, and two extra magazines. CONDITION: Very fine as upgraded to full auto, retains 97% blue finish with some scattered light handling marks. Wood is excellent with some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. SWD M11/Nine Submachine Gun, Class III/NFA
Transferable Machine Gun, with .22 Conversion Unit and Other Accessories - Serial no. 86-0010034, 9 mm cal.. A descendant of
Ingram’s M10, the M11/Nine is made with a slightly longer receiver than
the M11 to accommodate a caliber upgrade from 380 ACP to 9mm Parabellum and allow for a longer range of bolt travel to dampen felt recoil. Fixed blade and peep sights, with the “SEMI/SMG” selector switch on the left side of the frame, safety switch next to the trigger guard and standard markings on the right side of the frame. A swiveling nylon strap is installed on the barrel behind the threading, with a contoured grip with the Cobray logo on the back and a collapsing wire stock. Included with the lot are four extra magazines, one nylon magazine pouch, a brass catcher, barrel extension with forward pistol grip,
two upper receivers and a set of papers. One upper (receiver and barrel only)
is fitted with an extended 10 inch 9mm barrel and adjustable front sight, the other (barrel, receiver and bolt, no recoil spring or spring guide) is a Fleming
M11-22 22LR conversion unit, modified with the addition of a short section of picatinny style rail and a BSA brand red dot sight. CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% of the original matte black finish, showing some minor handling marks overall. The M11-22 upper shows some grind marks around the rail, and the dot sight has a crack in the glass. Mechanically excellent.
