Factory “SR” Signed and Game Scene Engraved
Krieghoff .410 Bore Model K-20 Over/Under Shotgun
with Two Extra Barrel Sets and Case - Serial no.
070901, 410 gauge, 32 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish,
walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with dual bead sights
on the matted vent rib, standard Krieghoff markings and
German proofs, interchangeable chokes (0/0 installed), and 76 mm (3 inch) chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin finished action features
broad floral scroll engraving surrounding a circular game scene on either side along with “K-20/KRIEGHOFF/GERMANY” on the underside. The
scroll engraving extends to the top latch, toplever, upper tang, and trigger guard. The left game scene shows a pair of partridge in flight in a
wooded area, and the right shows a pair of grouse in flight in a wooded scene. The gun is signed “SR” to the right of the trigger guard, likely for
renowned Krieghoff Master Engraver San Remo. The gun features a single selective trigger and a tang mounted safety switch. Beautifully figured,
multi-point checkered Schnabel forend with engraved fittings, including the Deeley style release, and pistol grip stock with right hand palm swell,
adjustable comb, and Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Includes two extra 32 inch barrel sets, both with interchangeable chokes and 76 mm (3 inch)
chambers with ejectors. Also included is an aluminum Krieghoff takedown case and an extra stock and forend that have been camouflage dipped. Barrel
measurements for the 20 gauge set (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved and measured at 15.7 mm (.618 inches); minimum wall thickness .044/.047 inches. Barrel measurements for the 28 gauge set (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved and measured at 13.8 mm (.543 inches); minimum wall thickness .047/.048 inches. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/4 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs 6 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is very fine and extra barrels are excellent. Mechanically excellent.
