Cremini African Game Engraved and Gold Inlaid Sandro Lucchini Sidelock Ejector
Double Rifle - Serial no. 60832, 375 H&H magnum cal., 24 1/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/
casehardened/gold finish, walnut stock. Blued Bohler Rasant steel barrels with ramped
beaded blade front sight, two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear sight marked for 50 and 100 meters on the raised rear quarter rib, standard 1992 dated Italian proofs, and automatic ejectors. The left barrel is marked “DEMIBLOC BARREL BY FERLACH”. The casehardened, bolstered sidelock action displays beautiful deep
cut floral scroll engraving on the fences and top lever along with flourishes of scroll on the lockplates and receiver. The lockplates both show gold inlaid African big game animals with the left being a rhinoceros and the right the cape buffalo as well as “S. LUCCHINI” and “GARDONE V.T.” in gold inlaid banners.

The underside is marked “375 HOLLAND & HOLLAND MAGNUM” ahead of the trigger plate, which also is adorned with light scroll and the engraver’s signature “C Cremini”. The gun features double triggers (the front being single set), bushed firing pins, and a knurled tang mounted manual safety switch with gold inlaid “S”. Gorgeous, high contrast, multi-point checkered splinter forend with Anson button release and pistol grip stock with teardrop flats, shadowline cheekpiece, engraved trapdoor grip cap, and red rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 14 3/8 inches. Weight 9 lbs. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue, casehardened, and gold finishes with minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with a few scattered light dings and scratches and sharp checkering. The set trigger does not engage, otherwise, mechanically excellent.
