Bottega C. Giovanelli Engraved Caesar Guerini Maxum Over/Under Ejector Shotgun
- Serial no. 118624, 12 gauge, 30 inch round bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 2008. Blued steel barrels with single bead sight on the matted, solid rib, standard markings and Italian proofs, single band of engraving at the upper breech, interchangeable choke system, and 76 mm (3 inch) chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin finished sideplated boxlock action displays beautiful full coverage floral
scroll engraving surrounding “CAESAR/GUERINI” on either side and “MAXUM” on the underside.
The trigger plate is signed “Bottega C. Giovanelli” for the famous firm. The gun features a single
trigger and a tang mounted automatic safety/selector switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with Anson style release and engraved shoe as well as a round knob pistol
grip stock with serrated wood buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 18.4 mm (.724 inches) and measured .725/.726
inches; minimum wall thickness .031/.030 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/4 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 5 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes, minor handling evidence, a few small pressure marks in the stock, and sharp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500
LOT 3421 Factory Engraved Krieghoff Teck Pigeon Over/Under Shotgun - Serial no. 84714, 12 gauge, 30 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Bohler Spezial steel barrels with dual bead sights on the matted vent rib, German proofs dating to 1984, light engraving at the upper breech, and 76 mm (3 inch) chambers with automatic ejectors. The bright coin finished, bolstered boxlock action displays light scroll engraving and is marked “KRIEGHOFF-TECK/PIGEON/004” on the underside. The gun features a single trigger, bushed firing pins, and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings including the Deeley style release and pistol grip stock with Monte Carlo comb and Pachmayr White Line recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 18.5 mm (.728 inches) and measured at .728/.727 inches; choke constriction .028/.042 inches; minimum wall thickness .036/.035 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 12 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with a few minor blemishes in the varnish, a few minor scratches, and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500
LOT 3422 Beretta ASE Gold Over/Under Shotgun - Serial no. AD5039B, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1995. Blued steel barrels with white bead front sight and steel bead mid sight on a raised ventilated rib, 3 inch chambers, Beretta MobilChoke system (improved cylinder/full installed), gold inlaid numeral “1” at the breech, and automatic ejectors. Blued action with gold filled engraving of a trophy cup and laurel on either side as well as “P. Beretta” in script over “ASE GOLD” and the Beretta Trident, “SPORTING” is gold filled on the trigger guard, the action borders are lightly engraved, top of action matted, manual selector safety, and single adjustable gold washed non-selective trigger. Mounted on a nicely figured, checkered walnut Schnabel tip forend and buttstock with engraved fittings, Deeley
release, right hand palm swell, and Beretta recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore 9 inches from the breech proofed at 18.4mm (.724 inches) measuring .723/.723 inches; minimum wall thickness .037/.035 inches ; drop at the comb 1 7/16 inches; drop at the heel 2 5/16 inches; length of pull 14 5/8 inches; weight 8 lbs. 6 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes with limited handling marks, crisp engraving, bright gold inlays, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

LOT 3423 Factory Engraved and Gold Inlaid Cortona .410 Bore Prestige Over/Under Shotgun Two Barrel Set - Serial no. 215190, 410 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/casehardened/gold finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 2006. Blued steel barrels with single brass bead sight on the matted vent rib, retailer/import marking on the left of the upper barrel, 3 inch chambers with ejectors, and choke constrictions of .025/.043 inches. The casehardened sideplated boxlock action displays floral scroll surrounding a pair of gold inlaid grouse on the right, a setter and pheasant on the left, a setter holding pheasant on the underside, and a woodcock on the trigger guard. The gun has a single gold trigger and tang mounted manual
safety/selector switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a push button release and round knob pistol grip stock with blank inscription oval and checkered wood buttplate. Includes an extra matching numbered set of 28 inch, 28 gauge vent rib barrels with 2 3/4 inch chambers and interchangeable chokes (improved cylinder/modified installed) as well as a pair of .410 bore and 28 gauge snap caps and three extra choke tubes. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 3 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue, casehardened, and gold finishes with very minimal minor handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the wood. The extra barrel set is also excellent. Mechanically excellent.
