Bolt Action Rifle in desirable 22-250 Caliber with Box - Serial
no. 10322B9, 22-250 cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1969. Blued barrel manufactured without sights showing standard markings and a pair of 2 1/8 inch wedges of floral scroll engraving at either side of the breech. The coin finished action features floral scroll engraving
on a matted background surrounding a running hare on the left of the front bridge and a running coyote on the right, The bottom metal is engraved in the same fashion with a prairie dog town on the floorplate and a crow on the trigger guard. Both sides of the front bridge are signed “R. KOWALSKI” for Master Engraver Richard Kowalski. Nicely figured pistol grip stock with fancy floral carving and checkering, contrasting forend tip and gripcap, and Browning buttplate. Includes original factory box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering. The box is good with moderate wear.
Serial no. 61382L71, 30-06 Springfield cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrel
with hooded ramped beaded blade front sight, adjustable folding rear sight, standard markings, and 2 inch wedges of floral scroll engraving on either side of the breech. The coin finished action displays beautiful floral scroll engraving as well as a two game scenes on the receiver ring. The left side shows a bugling elk in a forested scene and the right has a running pronghorn in a field scene. The bottom metal shows the same floral scroll engraving with a mule deer buck engraved on the magazine floorplate and a grizzly bear on the trigger guard. The gun is signed “A.MARECHAL” on the left side of the receiver ring for Browning Master Engraver Alfonse Marechal, “GRECO” on the floorplate for one of the Greco family and “LS” on the trigger guard likely for L. Severien. The gun is mounted in a beautifully figured, fancy checkered walnut stock with contrasting forend tip, blank inscription diamond on the contrasting gripcap, and Browning buttplate. Includes a Browning factory letter confirming the grade and caliber when it was sold on September 20, 1971 to “The Gun Store of Kalmath Falls, OR.
