Outstanding Rare Smith & Wesson .22 Military & Police Pre-Model 45 Double Action Revolver with Box - Serial no. C407556, 22 LR cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured 1957-1958 on a 4-screw frame. A small few of these .22 M&P revolvers, such as this example, were held in S&W stock and finally sold off as late as 1996. Standard markings and features. The right grip panel is numbered to the gun. The Smith & Wesson box is numbered to the gun.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue finish with minimal handling marks, a partial cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is fine with storage and handling marks and some darkening on the lid. One of the most rare K-frame S&Ws to be found!

Semi-Automatic Pistol with Box - Serial no. 1081, 9
mm para cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1956-1957. This pistol is one of the first of
what would become the Model 39 Double Action pistol. It
features a small safety, long extractor, alloy frame, smooth
walnut grips with Smith & Wesson medallions. Includes
the original Smith & Wesson blue box containing an extra
magazine, cleaning tools, and screwdriver.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue
finish with limited handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
Box is fine with scattered storage and handling marks, some loss of color and corner wear. Provenance: The Ernie Rice Collection.

adjustable rear sights, muzzle
brake, standard markings, and
target grips. Includes correct
Smith & Wesson blue box.

retaining 99% plus original blue
finish with limited handling
marks and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very
good with storage and handling marks, and a small tear on the lid.

Revolver with Box - Serial no. 7348, 38 special cal., 2 inch solid rib
bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Introduced in 1950. Matching serial
numbers on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder, and barrel. Features
rare smooth ramp front sight, small trigger guard and serrated flat
cylinder release. Includes original Smith & Wesson red box.

Action Revolver with Box - Serial no. 470, 38 special
cal., 2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1951. Matching serial numbers on
the butt, cylinder, and barrel. As is common with
police department marked guns, the right grip
is numbered to another gun. Features half moon
front sight, small trigger guard, and serrated flat cylinder release. The
left side of the grip frame is marked “K-142-4963-5376/Forestview ILL.
P.D.” Includes a correct Smith & Wesson red box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks,
a cylinder drag line, and some high edge, holster type wear on the leading edge of the cylinder.
Mechanically excellent. Box is fine with limited storage and handling marks.

Pistol - Serial no. 2170, 9 mm para cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish,
walnut grips. Manufactured in 1954-55. This pistol is an early example of
what would become the Model 39 Double Action pistol. It features serrated
blade front and rear notch sights, a small safety, long extractor, alloy frame, and
checkered walnut grips with Smith & Wesson Medallions.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling
marks and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.

barrel. Features serrated ramp front sight, “lemon
squeezer” safety, and serrated flat cylinder release. Includes original
Smith & Wesson red box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish
with minimal storage and handling marks, and a cylinder drag line.
Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine with limited storage and
handling marks.
