Scarce and Excellent Smith & Wesson “Straight Line Target” Single Shot Pistol with Factory Metal Case - Serial no. 1044, 22 LR cal., 10 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured from 1925 to 1936. The pistol has a Patridge blade front sight, an adjustable square notch rear sight, standard S&W markings, barrel numbered to the gun and nicely figured S&W checkered walnut grips. Includes an original blue steel S&W case and reproduction two-piece cleaning rod and screwdriver.

CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with minimal handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Case is excellent overall, with nearly all the blue finish on the exterior and some high
edge wear on the interior.

Lowest Known Single Digit Serial Number “3” Smith & Wesson
“Straight Line Target” Single Shot Pistol - Serial no. 3, 22 LR cal., 10 inch
solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1925, on the first day
of production, the lowest serial number Straight Line known to exist. This
early Straight Line Target single shot pistol features Patridge blade front and
adjustable rear sights, a solid rib barrel with marker mark on the left, address on the
top of the rib, and caliber on the right, a S&W monogram on the left
of the frame behind the un-numbered S&W medallion smooth walnut
grips, “MADE IN USA” on the right of the frame below the barrel. The
matching single digit serial number “3” can be found on the butt of the
pistol and on the bottom of the barrel.
CONDITION: Very good, retaining 85% plus original blue finish with
fading to brown on the balance and scattered handling marks. Grips
are good with dings and scratches and about half the original varnish
remaining. Mechanically excellent.

Excellent Scarce Smith & Wesson Model of 1913 .35
Semi-Automatic Pistol with Box - Serial no. 312, 35
S&W cal., 3 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured from 1913 to 1921 with a total production
of approximately 8,350, this was Smith & Wesson’s first
attempt of a semi-automatic pistol. There are two safety
devices on the pistol, a revolving cam on the backstrap
and a grip safety on the front strap. The top of the frame
is marked with the three line address/patent dates
flanked by Maltese crosses, the left side of the barrel is
marked “35 S&W AUTO CTG.”, the left rear of the frame
is marked with the S&W Trademark logo, and the serial
number appears on the front strap. Blade front and frame notch rear
sights and seven round detachable magazine.
Includes a correct Smith & Wesson box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish
with limited handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good
with storage and handling marks as well as a torn corner on the lid.

Serial no. 8773, 22 LR cal., 10 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured from 1909 to 1923. Beaded blade front and adjustable rear sights. Matching serial numbers found on the grip frame, right grip panel, barrel, and barrel latch.
Includes rare original box.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine with limited storage and handling marks. Provenance: The Ernie Rice Collection.

- Serial no. 458421, 22 LR cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut
grips. Manufactured between 1911 and 1941, also known as the
“Bekeart Model.” Features blade front and adjustable rear sights. Matching serial numbers on grip frame, cylinder, ejector star, and barrel. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks, a cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.
